bah thats pretty wank with the getting refused. i always thought dance events didnt have a dress code.

i'd been to countless hardcore nights in my time since 2003 so I was no stranger to big events but then got into trance late 2005 and mid 2006 was my first trance event.

a lot cleaner and generally less scummy than a hardcore night. i've always avoided things like global because i hate the camping element of it. i'd go for one night but the price doesn't justify it. its like paying for a holiday to ibiza alone.

the first time i went to turnmills the same thing happened to me....

me and two mates all bought tickets in advance but when we quoted the needed reference they claimed to never have heard of it and we ended up paying to get in anyway. (so we paid £40 each to get in).

after that i never bothered with tickets and you could usually walk in with no trouble as long as you got there at least 30 minutes before opening. you were always inside within 15 minutes. we just didnt manage it on the penultimate night because it was an insane queue and they were giving priority to ticket holders.

i saw kyau & albert a couple times there and even got to talk to them after their set so i was well chuffed with that. i really liked the venue really
