Nice! After I shovel today I'll probably be online all day. We are getting a wicked snow storm (at the end of freaking March!?!?!?!) so there will be nothing else to do today

Thanks for your kind words Kyle. After 11 of the best years of my life you just have to sit down and really reflect on the kind of life you had with him. The end is always rough and it always hurts, but it's the love of all those years that turns the memories from tears to smiles. It's always hard to say goodbye, but knowing he is without pain and without suffering makes the decision worth it.

Ironic thing was he had arthritis in his spine too and we thought that it was a combo of that and his old lymes flaring back up. We come to find out it was a neurological disorder common in German Shepards, but also rare in large breed dogs. All it took was 2 weeks and he couldn't walk anymore.

He was a good loving dog. Never jumped on old people, never jumped on little kids and knew my friend's mom had cancer months before she passed and always treated her with the utmost care. They are our companions through and through no doubt about that.
