you cant be serious? You have to be saying some of the things you say just to start trouble...you seriously believe that most people who played AC2 never played the first one?
I kind of feel bad for you. Your in everyone's signature, and they all think your an idiot. But I just think that your just someone trying to debate with your opinions. You have my pities, bro.
DS and Saw are comparable on extreme violence especially with the removal of limbs combined with a Survival Horror setting while thats all they share. I haven't seen Solaris while I have seen Lost, Event Horizon, Shrooms, and a number of other psycological films/tv shows. I haven't seen Solaris while I understand what you're saying. DS could be managed with less Gore since RE5 did that compared to RE4 while that wouldn't happen with DS because thats one of the main reasons why people get scared. DS did a good job without using that much of the standard cutscenes while you still need to have some of them to convey parts of the story. Personally I've seen enough violence that was Fake and Real not to be affected by "torture porn" especially when I'm a big Horror, Sci-Fi, War, and Monster movie buff. Its still nice that we can share different Opinions without freaking out at each other.
I do agree with you on the dislike of "Torture Porn". I had an accident with a BB gun (many Christmas Story references in my life) that left me lensless. When the "Eye" moment happened...I turned it off. Didn't rub me the wrong way or anything but it was just like "UGH!!!!!" That and the movie semi-guaranteed I wasn't going to Europe without an entourage or many a firearms. Ruined my dreams for Amsterdam.
Not a problem sir. Don't really see the comparison between DS and Saw tho. Saw was Jigsaws twisted little morality game. Dead Space was a controversy surrounding religion. Have you ever seen Solaris with George Clooney and the Faraday kid from Lost? Great movie compared with DS all without the Necros and gore. Saw didn't scare me either but it's a creepy notion. That was the beauty of Dead Space to me - There were no legit Cutscenes. Everything happend as you progressed, like Bioshock with no dramatic screen changes.
You too sir. Take it easy.
Thank you. I personally don't count DS as a scary game because I don't get scared of "torture porn" movies like Saw and Hostel. If I saw something from Dead Space in Real Life then yes I would be scared. It has been a good time debating like you said.
Kudos on catching me for the RE Difficulty. I'm certainly getting old and need to go and play some old school stuff soon I guess. I still don't know how you don't see Dead Space as a horror title. If something like that happened to me, I certainly wouldn't compare it to a fluffy dream sequence. People having their innards and bodies contorted into insane monstrosities trying to eat my face...kinda scary. I'm pretty sure your pants would be quite the Poop Packer if you were face to face with a Brute.
Good debating with you though sir.
Fans did call MoH a CoD Killer while EA did say that they wanted a CoD feel to it. CoD can be a Teamwork game just like how Battlefield can be a Lone Wolf game while it matters on the play style of the people in the lobby. Battlfield is slowly turning into a CoDesque game like weapon customization in BC and perks in BC2 while I'm sure it will continue with B3. Every FPS after CoD4 has either used the CoD button layout or something else from CoD because CoD4 became a major player in the Industry. CoD is slowly becoming the staple FPS even if people don't like that while that previosly happened with Doom, Unreal, Goldeneye, and Halo. The only FPSs that I personally think are Teamwork based would be MAG, Operation Flashpoint, and Counterstrike while few people will try "Lone Wolf" in those games. Its always fun to have a conversation with people without name calling or yelling.
