May I suggest two basic things which may or may not help.
1. Log out of your profile and log back in.
2. Clear your Internet browser cache, and then try again.

Let me know if it works, if not I'll research.

Yup normally when I published a guide I'll check to see if it's stickied and if not I'll request it. Good job on your first guide, look forward to many more.
