I always buy the Dvds of the Anime that I really like, so I can either finish watching the series or watch it over again. But I don't wait for them to be released in the US.

I download all my Anime. There are a few select films that i've actually bought but on the whole a downloaded version suits me fine. I've got a 32" monitor/TV so it makes no difference whether its a download or DVD....it'll look the same anyway and be played on the same display equipment.

However I buy a LOT of Manga. I spend around £150-200 per month on Manga, which is 300-400 USD (unsure on current exchange rates)

I buy as well. I don't really watch too much anime because I don't know what else is out there (very uneducated) but we buy One Piece and Dragonball Z because we like to support the people who did all the work on it as our little thankyou.

i wish they release the saint seiya lost canvas episodes here but i doubt it

I buy. I can't be bothered to wait for downloads to finish and not having enough seeds and all that junk. However, I don't always buy what I assume are the 'original' versions, I often buy the ones you get off eBay which are usually a lot cheaper. I assume these are probably copies anyway (even if they're good quality ones), so I guess I'm not supporting anime most of the time.
But when it's a choice between £50 a series in HMV or £15 for the same series on eBay, I think I know which I'd prefer, and which I can actually afford!

I buy everything! Ive spent at least £300 in the last month or so! Ive become an anime addict, mainly because everything else seems crap for some reason.

i do animes that i really like i not only buy the DVDs in the most special edition available, but i buy many of their cool merchandise too lol. figures are neatttt!

I have a few shows on dvd, but my most treasured possession is the (almost) complete Ghibli collection, I'm only missing Ponyo

Well I'm a bit of both. There's just so much anime out there that it's financially not viable to buy everything in sight.

I bittorrent the shows that have been recommended by others, watch them and eagerly await the licenced version (typically a 1.5-2 year wait till its available in the UK) then buy it.

Case in point... 2007 was perhaps one of the better years and I've splurged out on Death Note, Gurren Lagann and Claymore.

If its an older show, I rent it out from www.lovefilm.com

Either way, I'm supporting the industry :-)
