Damn you Microsoft! You know I am a sucker for a bargain so you came up with this ingenious promotion awhile ago named the Deal of the Week. While I snag many of the arcade games already, these discounted offers tempt me to purchase arcade games I initially passed up. I even bought one, Super Street Fighter HD, because it was on sale and I dislike fighting games.

There really have been some great discounts though. N+, Bionic Commando, and the current D.O.T.W. Puzzle Quest for 400 pts were an absolute steal if you did not already own them.

So, what arcade games would you buy if they were discounted on the Deal of the Week?

For me it would be Cloning Clyde, which seems like a fun game but I never got around to purchasing it before. Now it just seems too old of a game to pay full price for it.

I would also like both Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie. Their current price just seemed to high for me to justifying buying. (Most 1200 pt games I have reservations about).

I also love DOTW, and have bought most of the arcade games that have been on deal. I think I only missed Street Fighter HD Remix, because I wasn't sure I wanted it - but like you I had the temptation...I'm grabbing Puzzle Quest tonight when I get online - been waiting for this one since I first heard about it, and will be getting Lode Runner next week and Pinball FX the week after!

Personally, I'd probably buy most XBLA games on deal, but I'd love to see Castle Crashers up for 800MSP, as I never got round to grabbing it. I don't see that happening though, so realistically, I'd really enjoy any of the following:
Arkanoid Live!, EXIT, Interpol, Mega Man 9, Outrun Online Arcade, Peggle, RoboBlitz, Sea Life Safari, Soul Calibur, Space Invaders Extreme, The Maw, Triggerheart Exelica, Worms 2.

Yeah, Puzzle Quest is well worth the 400 points. I am sure you love it Waggly Bean. As for the upcoming DOTW games, Lode Runner and Pinball FX, I already paid full price for those awhile ago and thought the price was worth it. For you to get them at a discounted price is awesome. If I didn't already have them I would definitely jump on the opportunity and get both games.

By the way - where did you find out the information about upcoming Deals of the Week?

Like you, there are many games I would buy if they became the DOTW. (Cloning Clyde and the Banjoo series are just the ones I prefer). I am also curious to see if they wil ever have a 400pt title slashed in half. It would be hard to pass up any arcade game for only 200 points.

I keep a close eye on it, and post whenever I find new info. The OP doesn't keep the thread as up-to-date as he perhaps should, but there is a wiki (set up by Iregore) that's linked in the first post. That has all the info, and he keeps it very up-to-date!

I also meant to say in my last post that I got Banjo Kazooie for the equivalent of 800MSP anyway. Keep checking eBay - redemption codes for the game pop up on there every now and then!

Lastly, I would buy ANY XBLA title at 200MSP. Seriously, anything. Even Bliss Island!

Well, it looks like they are finally discounting a 400 ms point game. According to the wiki that Waggly Bean was kind enough to mention, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released November 30th for 240 ms points. (No word on Bliss Island yet. Keep your fingers crossed.)

Also, Peggle should be discounted soon for only 400 ms points. (I honestly believe the game is worth 1200 ms points - so this is a unbelievable deal for those who do not own it.)

Death Tank, overpriced at 1200 ms points, is getting a discount as well to 800 ms points. I tried the demo and was not too impressed. Anyone think Death Tank is a good deal for 800 ms points?
