Ah yeah, that one guy in line, lol. Forgot that came out yesterday. I'm not too up to date with Nintendo releases, I was all X1 for the past week - still am. I need to get through Ocarina of Time 3D (haven't started that yet)...but I might pick up A Link Between Worlds some day.
I stopped watching the live stream right as they put up Tara's DR3 review, I needed sleep since I'm at work right now, heh. I'll watch the rest once I get home.
True. Can't live without your head so that's dumb on my part
That would be pretty neat if they introduced a new Booker. Hell, Levine is pretty cryptic in answering whether or not Columbia would return in Part 2. He says, "...whatever is important will resurface and this Elizabeth is important to Columbia" or something like that (near the end). So there's hope!
That link made me more aware that there can be a scenario where Anna could be killed during the Boker - Comstock struggle for her between the tear. I didn't catch that she got her head popped off in the Burial at Sea DLC, should've realized with the doll head allusion.
Yeah, what you say makes sense for sure, but Anna in the Burial at Sea universe died. Neither Comstock nor Booker managed to keep her alive.
I wonder if we can see another version of Booker in Episode 2. The Booker we played as in Infinite obviously drowned, but it'd be nice to see his character model from Elizabeth's perspective and I'd welcome one last return to Columbia if we aren't going to see any new places.
Hmm, so what I'm getting is this: The Booker we are playing as in BaS is actually the Comstock that took Anna from the events of Infinite, but in a universe where when taking Anna, Booker was able to pull her back, thereby leaving Comstock "daughterless" which then makes him adopt Sally? Does that make sense?
Kinda awesome how the Big Daddy does his deeds at the end. Definitely cliffhanger-ish, but at least we now know why we play as Elizabeth next episode!
I think Sally is just an orphan that the Booker reborn as Comstock took in as an adopted daughter in the Burial at Sea universe. She doesn't really serve much purpose other than moving the story along to the point where you find out she's become a Little Sister. But things get really fun from there and she doesn't remain a focal point anymore. I'm not sure if this is something that takes place post what was seen in Infinite, but I think an older Elizabeth is trying to go on some avenge-full Comstock killing spree to ensure that there are universes where Booker and Anna are still together. Elizabeth seems to take comfort in knowing for sure that Booker and Anna live peacefully in some dimensions. We might run into multiple Elizabeths in BaS Episode 2.
Yes, sir. I've actually been able to play it recently. It's not so much the characters (Fontaine, Ryan, & Cohen) that confuse me (unless their role is key in answering this next point). It's the whole Booker/Comstock stunt they pull at the end with the Sally/Elizabeth thing and then the randomness of the Lutece twins!
