The rights of use gets deleted since that isn't used in the published guide, but the person who prepares it should leave notes about co-authors if there are any. For some reason, that note wasn't left; my guess is that no one noticed the co-authors mentioned when the rights of use were deleted during pre-publishing. I will make sure this matter gets addressed so it doesn't happen in the future. To make extra sure that something like this doesn't happen again, I recommend leaving a line at the very top saying something along the lines of "Note to Guide Team: This Achievement Guide was written by _ and _." when you submit any co-written guide.
Thank you very much for helping me fix this problem. I don't want his efforts to be overlooked either, which is why I want to make sure everything is right so I can correct it.
I did though I copied and pasted the guide word for word from the GTA V forums and on the top it clearly said under the rights of use that it was co-written (as it does in the forums). When I check last night, it was reformatted and it said "In Progress ~ DEG" and the "rights of use" was deleted.
I can vouch that he contributed to the following achievements or even wrote the descriptions himself for some of these: Three Man Army, Altruist Acolyte, Trading Pure Alpha, Pimp My Sidearm, Wanted: Alive or Alive, Los Santos Customs, all the mission requirements for the secret achievements, Numero Uno, Midnight Club, and Dialing Digits.
We also did a lot of the MP achievements together which helped me flesh out the MP section of the guide much faster with his help. I just don't want his efforts to be overlooked when I'm 100% positive I posted the "rights of use" when submitting the guide.
There is nothing indicated in the submission forum that he co-wrote it, so that is probably why he didn't get credit. If you or B A R 4 D could let me know how much he contributed, that would be great! In the future though, please make sure that you mention if there is a co-author when you submit it!
Trouble in Paradise is $80? I've been looking in Gamestops all over the place and haven't seen it yet. Well, at least the game is very cheap and doesn't take long to complete! I wish I had it completed already though. :/ I really want that Horstacio award too...we can do it! XD
