For me, retro would be games of the 90s, not early 00s. That's not retro enough!

I actually never played it and I wanted Halo 2 to win GOTD, but oh well. What would be retro then? If they had a "Best Game Ever, of All Time" award? They could only announce a winner ever so often.

Still fun to watch and see the outcome. Geoff Keighley hyped the shit out of the awards, only for it to fail. All this talk about retro, what exactly was retro about the awards show? A "best game of the decade" award isn't exactly retro.

Ah. Cooleo. Makes me scratch my head in curiosity as to why BO2 wasn't nominated for a 360 GOTY, Microsoft is basically throwing money at Activision to get some incentives for consumers to buy BO2 on the 360. Spike's VGAs are f'ed up as usual, since it's based on popularity. And BO2 was another record breaker.
