Lol, you read my bio? A friend of mine was over a few months ago, when we got done playing some Halo 2 splitscreen he changed it, I just kept it like that.
And yeah, I didn't have to do a whole lot this week besides yardwork. I usually teach swim lessons at a recreational center in the mornings but this week was a break in between sessions, and I start back up tomorrow. But I blazed through L.A. Noire during the past couple of days while I could. I think that means I liked it, but I wasn't a fan of the homicide desk. All those people were being framed by one guy and they didn't put up much of a fight when you tossed 'em in jail, not even complaining that they were framed! And Cole, the total boy scout, is such a hypocrite! Preaching moral superiority and justice only to do what he did at the end of the vice desk? Unbelievable! I hated his character.
I see you've finished Noire. Just checked your tag and it gave me a huge mind-fuck. I've got a dictionary app on my phone and it displays a bunch of random words when you open it up. I was on it earlier today. Guess what the big, bold word that grabbed my attention was? Pusillanimous.
The cars aren't that bad. Maybe that's because near the beginning of the game I just commandeered everything in sight! I found the film reels worse. There's one in a subway tunnel that's a bit of a bitch. As for the story; still just got Nicholson Electroplating and the final case to go. I'm probably going to finish it tonight.
So far I've gotten all the newspapers I could get, I think the last one I viewed was the one in the final vice case where Sheldon confides in Doc Fontaine about the surplus morphine. I like how the newspapers tie in to the story, they give you some great backstory on Sheldon and the Doc. I'm about to start the second arson case right now! Might finish the game tomorrow night. Then I'll start the grueling journey to get all those cars... -_-
I'd probably say the same about Phelps. Roy's worse though. I found out the other day that the Truth and Doubt options were meant to be Coax and Force. Kind of justifies Phelps being shouty and gives a little bit of perspective. I'm playing through it again myself at the moment so I should be good for any spoilerific plot discussions via PM. Only got two cases left. Have you picked up all the newspapers so far, by the way?
Roy's not a really great man. I guess I should say the same for Phelps. Just finished the Vice desk earlier today. I'm not really sure what to think of L.A. Noire. I don't like the character development but 1940s L.A. is really fun to play around with.
