Do you have someone you're running through ODST campaign with? If you ever want any help feel free to message/invite me. Always willing to play some ODST.

Awesome. I ended up getting it first attempt with that strategy after many, many previously failed attempts using some of the more common ones. Been wanting to try it again. If it goes good I may look at overhauling the current guide/roadmap.

Yes he did, I read through it. Sounds like a pretty good plan

Looks like you're all set for c++ then! If challenges are what you're into though you might want to try your hand at some assembler

Ugh, sounds awful. Horrible to learn that way.

I actually have a handful of programming books. 2 HTMl books, an old Visual c++ book (so old it comes floppy disk), blitz plus and what looks like a c++ book called game scripting mastery. I have other books but that's what I can recollect having.

Fair enough, books really help, especially if they have lots of example code. One of my Java instructors wouldn't suggest specific books to anyone (in fact telling us not to look for help anywhere else because it would be "wrong") and wouldn't put any instructional stuff up on his website. All he'd do is go over precoded stuff in class and make youtube videos, really hard to learn from. Videos are great if they're brief and show how to do something very specific, really sucked for looking stuff up though.

If I do I will definitely ask. I started with basic then moved to plus when I could. I have a physical book for plus which is why I currently use it.
