The "event" system in GoW 3 was broken from the start, either through deliberate calculation or accidental incompetence on Epic's part. They refused to acknowledge the problem and promptly deleted ANY thread in their forums questioning it, whether polite or not. When they finally DID "fix" it with the 29/30 event bump, it was way too little, and way too late, and that fix did NOT help 99% of the people that had already played the game and were stuck at 29/30 events already. All of this just tells me that they will chase the profit and screw gamers over, no matter the cost.

In addition to that is the player data reset issue, which has been present since GoW 2 and they refuse to acknowledge it let alone fix it.

That company is all about profit at the expense of gamers, a business practice I detest.

A lot of people are acting like my problem is with the achievement in GoW 3 itself (Socialite to be specific). But, I actually obtained the achievement. What I'm against is the audacity that a company like Epic has when they create rules for obtaining a specific achievement that are absurd, not due to difficulty or time investment, but because gamers are beholden to the whim of the company to "bother themselves" with keeping up with the game after launch and making sure the achievement is obtainable and straightforward in its management.

In the same vein of companies that release broken and unobtainable achievements and refuse to patch them with a proper fix, I have a major problem with Epic's business practices.

I agree with you about boycotting Gears: J. But why?
