It depends on if I'm staying here or going abroad over the summer. If I go abroad, I'd like to go to France, Japan, or England. If I stay here, I'll probably take some more Honors College courses or something. Sorry to hear that you failed that; that sounds like an awful class! D:
My Uni's sorta the same, less frequent holidays but I get a little longer off for Summer. Summer courses is an admirable option. I'm too lazy for them, but I have a friend who likes to take them. Though I think that's just because she wants to get out of Uni as fast as possible. On the contrary, I'd be fine with the Uni lifestyle forever. You studying different things in summer, or part of your course?
I failed Financial Accounting. The subject is about as much fun as it sounds. XD
I remember you talking abut that; I'm sure the teacher was very confused! I still have a long summer holiday; my summer holiday is actually longer than before! I may be taking summer courses or studying abroad though.
That's good! My exams are December and April which is nice. What unit did you fail? D:
Probably told you this, but for Yr 8 Indonesian I got 100% for one test, and 22% for the next. Sure confused the teacher. Ah, ok. That's around the same as me then. My course requires 3 times that for homework per unit per week, but no-one does it, least of all me. (Well, there might be the odd person here and there who does). So do you still get long summer holidays?
My exams for semester 1 are in winter, which is better. I still failed one unit (which I'm re-doing now), but I did well on the other 3.
It's a shame you don't have an ounce of aptitude for language. I think there is about 3-4 hours a week per class for contact hours, and I'm not sure about homework hours since that can vary. As for holiday, there are a few days off for Thanksgiving although I am going to have to stay here for that. There is also a longer break for Christmas since my fall semester ends in the middle of December. I have a week off in February as well, but I may need to stay here for that as well.
That's good! I'm usually out of it in the heat as well. :/ Luckily, my exams for winter semester are at the end of April, so it won't be very hot then! =)
Nice. French and Japanese in particular sound like they would be really useful for life in general. If I had even an ounce of aptitude for it, I probably would have gone with a language. I'm more than half-way through this semester, been doing Financial Management, Financial Accounting (Both seriously suck, but are very different things), Brand Management and Sports Economics. How many contact/homework hours you have a week, approximately? Oh, and are your holidays any different to before?
I guess the silver lining is I won't really have to use my brain much during summer. Couldn't take that, I'm usually completely out of it in the heat. My exams are a couple of week before summer, which is less than ideal, but it could be worse.
Yeah, I moved in at the end of last month and my classes started at the beginning of this month. I am studying French and Japanese, but I may have a minor in English as well to add on to that lol. I have French, Japanese, Writing, and Honors College Colloquium this semester. =) I am enjoying them more than high school for the most part. What classes do you have this semester?
It's working its way into winter here which is nice; I love the cold! The heat sucks; good luck with that! D:
