Surgeon - Butcher, carcasses count?

Can anyone legitimately confirm with certainty that stomping the limbs off of dead bodies counts toward the dismember 500 limbs (Surgeon) and dismember 1000 limbs (Butcher) achievements? Or am I just wasting time and effort with these unfortunate chaps.:confused:

Shoot for the head, arms or legs of aliens, after their dead run to their body and press RB and stomp off every limb until you just have the body left. Head, arms, and legs can come off. You can do this on normal dead bodies too. Rinse and repeat, I found it very amusing. :p

Ah I was looking for the answer to this as well.
It makes sense considering I got the first dismember achievement after about the 4th enemy. I had stomped so many of the human corpses because it was so much fun.

I will confirm that I did indeed get the 500 achievement while stomping on a corpse, nothing was alive in the room. So not only does it count but you can gain the achievement while doing it.

I got Butcher on level 9. I just kept gangsta stomping everything in sight after it died.

Trust me, stomping limbs off dead bodies counts...

the game goes so much faster after you get the achievements and you don't stop at every corpse to stomp it's limbs off.
