Solution to online quitters

Not sure if you've all heard this before, but hey thought i'd mention it anyway.
I found this out from a dude on another site, i tried it out myself and it works perfectly.

- Firstly when your opponent quits and the "connection to your opponent has been lost" message appears, DO NOT press anything, instead press your guide button and go to your recent players list.

-Select the player at the top of the list who just left the match, now watch his online status it will probably say something like "ranked xbox live match or I.Leagues....something along those lines you know what i mean. Anyway wait untill his status has changed so that he's in the free roam arena or dashboard or offline, anywhere but in the match you played.

-The EA servers will now have recognised that your opponent is not in the game and you still are, so the douche that left now gets a 3-0 loss and f**ks up they're DNF%.

-Press A to close the lost connection message and continue to the arena, you should then proceed to send a message to your dumbass opponent telling them how they just got a 3-0 loss.

it still registers for the win if the person quits are you sure we need to go through all that you said above ? i'm not sure cause i hardly play ranked 1v1 i only played for the win rank match achievment im now addicted to BAP online

hmm i might try this thing out maybe say the first 10mins..is that work too? cause i get a few d.cers and didnt register me as a win in early stages of the game.

If your opponent quits within the first 3mins of a game it is not registered as a lost or their dnf% will not increase. This is because EA give you time to see if the match is too laggy

When someone quits on me, I immediately press A and go to his gamercard and send him a message. I got the win everytime, so I doubt if it's neccesary to wait till his status changed. Sometimes it just takes a while before you see the win in your stats.

Instead of just giving you the win, i think that EA should take a more drastic approach to this problem. I think that dc'ers should be banned for a short period of time. Of course, only when they are in, say, the last 15 minutes of the match. When they dc several times in a given period of time, just ban them from the EA servers for 12 hours :)

I don't think it shud be that dramatic. Sumtimes ppl can disconnect due to connection failures, lag, or sumthing urgent has came up IRL. I've disconnected at least once for each of them. But I agree that if the DNF gets above 20% after 20+ games then they shud have a punishment.

thank god theres not worldwide legend achievement for 09 cause when people disconnect and you get the win shown in your career it won't count unless both parties complete the match then you will get the ''official win'' that counts towards the achieve so i'm not really bothered by people quitting in 09 it just shows how shit they are . Sometimes i send a message telling them to go and play PES , fifa ain't your game.

If the player leaves cause you are owning them :) You wont get your clean sheet :(

Quitters are ace, i played 7 games last night and i only finished 1 because they kept quitting> My favorite one is when they wait until the 90th minute to do it.

however i do take great pride in sending them abuse after they disconnect and wait for their witty replies. My personal favourite is after leading 4-0, the player said i was not good enough!

there should be a thread on here to name and shame them, i will start it off with,
