Been a memeber of this forum for a while now and to be fair I don't post as often as I should / would like but I have to say, although I don't want to cause any aggro or rock the boat in doing so.......

I really think it was a lot better the way it was.......:chair ( prepares to take a beating )

Alphabetically it was simple.

Seems awfully clutered now for some reason.
I'm sure you have your reasons for doing the re-org and as I say I don't wanna dis all your hard work and everything that everyone puts into this site but I just thought I'd voice an opinion. It might just take a while to get used to is all........What's other sthoughts?

Keep up the great work with the site though guys n gals it's a great place overall that has helped me no end, so cheers.. :drunk

Its a fair point, but I think as more and more games get released you will find that it is a lot better in this setup.

The games are still in alphabetical order, theyve just been condensed.

With Christmas coming up, there will be a lot more games, and having them all listed singularly would take up way too much space.

Without seeming to be harsh, this is going to be one of the few times when we dont really listen to feedback :p

LOL!!

Now that you've explained things I do kinda agree that it would get a tad cluttered what with all the new games arriving shortly.

As for the post. As I said before it wasn't meant to cause trouble and the fact that a relative (posts wise) noob can post something like this and get amicable replies without the usual flaming / xbox.com fanboys flaming you is a testament to the community and mods on the board.

Hope to catch you about guys. :drunk .

When people stand back and look at it from an objective stand point, I think people will agree that it makes sense....

As the site is going to be around a while ;) It would be ineffective to have a list of games that long, I mean take a look at XBox.com, it takes ages to go through their list to find a game. IMO their forums are poor, the only reason they are successful is because it's Microsoft's Official Forums.

We need the reorganisation so that the place isn't cluttered. Imagine putting the FIFA's in order or the NBA Lives, there would be a list of FIFA 07, FIFA 08, FIFA 09, FIFA 10 and that would look poor IMO. I mean, its not that hard to find a game now really, just think of the type, i.e. sport and it'll be there. How about an FPS, it'll be in the shooter section with the TPS.

Simple and effective really ;) You'll thank us in the long run :D This is just change thats it, and we as human beings don't like change. But, things need to be changed once in a while to keep up with everything else ;)

Thanks for reading :)

EDIT: If you are having trouble finding a game... Simply go to the main forum page, hit Ctrl + F and type the name in and voila ;)

I have a suggestion. So before you judge it or just shut it out just listen. Ok so the site just got updated and I am getting used to it , but I noticed that when it shows the last thread/ post it is hard to tell which category it came from. So I thought that maybe, but you don;t have to do this, but maybe you guys could make it so it shows the last post from each category. That might be to much making it look somewhat crammed, so that was the only thing I was worried about, but its just a suggestion.

Just click on the subforum and it shows you the latest posts in each game category. Easy enough really.

Think the new layout is generally excellent and that, as stated, will sustain the expanding games libraries better than the old one ever could. All links are well laid out and provide room for the inevitable expansion.

My only gripe is the font used throughout the site, I think it may be Baskerville or something similar? As a graphic designer, I find that a serif based font such as the one you use works well in large magazine articles or books but can appear untidy and cheap when used sparingly and at such a large point size. I noticed that you have stuck with a sans-serif font throughout the forums though and as a result I think they look clean and more concise. Curious as to why the decision was made to switch?

Other than that, been around here for quite some time now, and love the site. Log in most days. Forums are excellent and as they should be, a friendly, helpful community with a lot of humour and a touch of sarcasm! Achievement advice is second to none with informative and well structured guides. Mods are always around, are very helpful and always approachable.
Keep up the good work.

Appreciate tha quick response mate, but I have no dilusions of actually getting the font changed! Was really just curious to why the decision was made to adopt this particular font on the homepage. Ultimately just giving you guys feedback like you asked.

Appreciate the feedback. Always welcome it. We felt the font was suitable at that time with our site, however as the site changes, develops AND expands, we may adopt for a more appropriate font.

Any recommendations for the future? :)

 I would use something simple and clear such as Arial, Helvetica or News Gothic. Helvetica would be my choice as it has more variants and allows for most scope.
