hell yeah, good news for me... im hoping mine breaks just so i get it fixed to be right -- so far no problems, but if its defective and will eventually break, i want it to do so soon...

So basically if you bought your system on LAUNCH Day then they are giving you a 1 year warrenty from that date???

That means they are only giving you a 2 month warrenty if you've had no problems so far..

My luck my 360 will bite the dust sometime in December and I'll just be all around Screwed..

"We've made the decision to comp repairs for consoles manufactured before January 1, and provide refunds to the small group of customers who have already paid for repairs," Microsoft said.

This is hilarious. Mine broke, but had a manufactures date of Jan/06. The unit they sent me back was one of the original toasters and has a manufactuers date of 10/05. So I'm covered for another month or so. Let load up Saints Row. I hear that's been causing alot of havoc on the 360s:p

I purchased mine from Circuit City along with a 2 year warranty (@ a reduced price) just to be on the safe side. So I should set through Dec '07 :woop: .
