Several more questions

I just rented this and I'm looking over the achievement list so that I have an idea of what I'm supposed to be shooting for, but....

1- I have no idea, from reading the achievement list what this means:

Starry Night
Earn all 3 stars on Rookie difficulty or higher in a single-player game.

2- For:

Online Gamer
Play 30 ranked matches online

Do they actually have to be played or can you quit/forfeit like in Topspin? Does it matter the quarter lengths in Ranked matches??

Well thanks to Mr Arrow. He told me that you can start a game then quit, however, be warned, doing it this way you're probably gonna piss people off and will lower your rating.
