View Full Version : 50 hour achievement

Well obviously I know that there is a secret achievement worth 1G for playing 50 hours of FIFA 09. I know how to get the achievement and I can sort of find out how much I have played. However I don't understand when I view my stats it says "Offline Matches - Single Player, Xbox Live Matches - Single Player and Offline & Xbox Live Matches - Single Player". I have different minutes played on each of those types, however I do not understand why the "Offline & Xbox Live Matches - Single Player" minutes played is less than the other two. Wouldn't "Offline & Xbox Live Matches - Single Player" be xbox live and offline matches all together? So how come I have 400 minutes on xbox live, 200 minutes offline but only 100 minutes on offline and xbox live. I may just be stupid, but I have got very confused with this and I just want a straight answer. So my question is, the total amount of minutes I have played so far is it the total of all three game types?
Another question, can this achievement be achieved on any game mode and does it "stack" from offline to online?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. :)

Everyone has that problem, seems to be a bug. And yes I am quite sure that your minutes played on offline and online stack.

mines the same.
am i right in thinking you would need to play 3000 minutes to get the achievement? (3000mins / 60mins = 50)

I think that's matchtime, wheras the achievemnt is to just be on Fifa 09, anywhere for 50 hours. Otherwise no one would have it now would they??

Some people would, some people have had it two weeks, so that's abut 3 hours a day.

I will just play online and try to get a decent spot on the leaderboards, by which team i should have already unlocked it

It doesnt count if you just idle on the menus or the arena.

correct. It's only match time. Hell, even penalty shootouts dont count, i checked.

If you play over injury time does it count. E.g. you have two controllers, you put on twenty minutes half's and don't ever move, half-time doesn't ever come if no one moves. Will the extra minutes count toards the achievement?

I'm guessing any time when the in game match clock is running, counts. Though I haven't confirmed this, it would make sense if it were the case.

I've heard it doesn't. They put it this way to stop people from doing exactly what you mentioned! Leave it that way overnight and clock up some big hours.

How would that work? Just leave it on golden goal rule? That makes sense. If not just set up a 20 minute 2 player match and juts come back every 20 - 40 mins to rematch :)

Cause i believe the whistle for HT or FT doesn't go until the ball has crossed a certain part of the pitch, meaning 1 half could run for hours on end until the ball crosses a certain area of the pitch (I think there are 2 areas which trigger the whistle, 10-15 metres either side of halfway.)
But i am really enjoying the game online at the moment anyway!
But if you are busy, the method u suggested is probably the best and more than likely the only viable one that we know of at the moment boosting wise.

If you really want to boost it just have 2 controllers and play 20 minute matches simple really but personally i wantto get it for just playing it tbh with you lot i mean i will get it in time

Golden goal doesn't mean infinite time. It's still two extra halves of 15 minutes and then penalty's. But if you score a goal in extra time, the match would be over.

I think its hilarious how some of you think golden goal never ends lol. Do you know nothing about football?!?!?
And to answer a previous question, i dont believe injury time does count for the minutes

I'm just going to play the game properly, I am going to start a new manager mode with Inter and for every home game I am going to simulate and every away in a stadium I haven't played in I will play and win so it goes towards the stadium achievement. Once I get to 999, I will probably leave the game on but most people might get the achievement whilst going for the others.
