Tv fooked again 4 times in 12 months

Hey guys just after a bit of advice on what to do now my Tv is playing up again

here are the symptoms:

The televison will shut down then makes a grinding noise *best way to describe it* then will not turn back on. Unless you disconnect it from the power source
then after reconecting it the red lighit on the fornt panel will flash between green and red then makes the same grinding noise then the tv comes back to life

This problem has ocured 4 times in the last 12 months the last repair was on 03/04/06
these are the parts replaced:

Optical Block
Ic M27V160100K1 Le4
Ic M27V160100K1
Lamp Block Ass
Resistor Block Chip
Resistor Network 22

At a total cost of £ 888.16,all repairs have been covered by an extended warranty untill 09

the problem is i no longer want this problem unit,where do i stand legally with a refund or replacment unit?

Basically your TV is fucked and the people fixing it dont seem to know what theyre doing so theyre trying everything, One thing to do is make sure your plug and socket isnt damaged in anyway.

Other than that your warrenty will cover you a replacement or refund, because quite blatently 4 times is bleeding stupid.

Heres a step by step guide of what I would do in your situation
1) Open a near-by window.
2) Pick up the television, bend your knees (you dont want long term back strain.)
3) Place the television on the window sil, proped up-right.
4) gently give it a nudge in the right direction.
5) Ensure this is done from a second of higher floor window, there is no one beneath the window (that you like), And for god's sake, make sure the television has a hard landing - Grass just does'nt work!!!

Story so far Mastercare *laughs at the name* have come to collect the unit today And the engineer that came said That the unit was to be scrapped under the bad history policy. So fingers crossed that i dont get the tv set back This will be the last sony product i buy Nearly 2 and a half k On a television that has never worked since day one if i am honest

I HATE YOU SONY Time to start looking for a new Tv i guess

No 360 tho that kinda sucks :(
