Could someone please tell me how to do a diving header? I know what it is (obviously) but whenever I cross the ball in, I always end up doing a normally header or volleying it.

You just do it the same way as you do a normal header of volley. Just have to be lucky that the ball is low and in front of the player when it reches him. I got the achievement with a rebound goal.

I've played an entire season and purposely crossed the ball in every chance I had and still I never got one. :(

I spent 6 hours playing on Semi-Pro yesterday purposely turning every attack into a crossing opportunity. After 6 hours of what was equivalent to non-stop crossing practice I had managed just two diving headers (which were both nowhere near being on target) and one bicycle kick (which luckily went right into the top corner).

Everything comes to he who plays for long enough I guess ;)

As others have said I don't think there's a special button combination to do these moves, you've just got to keep trying until you get lucky with the placement of the cross and the position of the attacker being just right to do what you want.

Your more likely to get it when you aren't going for it, thats what I am doing. Just going to play the game for all the other achievements and hopefully I will get the diving header on the way.

I've tried to get this achievement in nearly every game, with no luck.

The other day i was playing a co-op match with my nephew and the 1st goal he scored on the game was a diving header....lol
So there cant be a special button combo, bcos my nephew will have just pressed B..

I think it may be easier if you have some1 else to cross the ball for you...

But like the bicycle kick achievement, i'll probably get it when i stop trying and just play...lol

Personally, i think it may be easier to get this in BAP online play.. as on Fifa 08, a majority of my goals online were diving headers, from another person crossing it. However i havent actually tried getting this achievement yet, but for some reason i think it may be easier to get it online :)

Just got this achievement, run up to the goalie, then press RB and Y so you lob it over him to another player and press B. Also an easy way to get a bicycle kick.

i have played at least 100 games on fifa 09 now and i havent even had a diving header chance :)

oh well my first goal on the game was a bicycle kick:woop:
so i cant really complain ;)

I got this while getting my Manual Labour achievement.

Manual crossing is perfect for this because if you use low power, you get low power and place it a few feet ahead of your attacker running in.

I got this while trying to score a header with the smallest created player achievement. Did a lobbed through ball from the corner of the penalty box and just got lucky that he dived for the header.

An easy way to get this achievement is playing a friendly game versus a friend, and ask him to take his defenders away and make his goalkeeper go off his goals.
Just cross the ball to the box, the stronger the cross is, the more chances you have to dive on it.
Got it after 3 matches :)

Yeah ive played almost a whole season in manager mode crossing the ball for headers with no success.

you can also do it by yourself using 2 controllers. Get 4 players on player 2's team sent off then swap them with the 4 defenders. Then make a run down the wing and bring the keeper out using your knuckle or a toe or something to press y on player 2's controller, then just cross it in a little in front of one of your players and they should do a diving header, it's a tricky move to pull off though.

Note that, of course, you can use the strat I exposed for nearly every achievement ;)

I also have been after this one for a while but today i scored the most bizzare diving header.

I was facing away from goal and my player dove away from goal to head the ball. Somehow he managed to do a backwards diving header and scored a goal. If that makes sense?

Now on for the bicylce kick! Every time i do one the keeper saves them :(

anyway i still haven't got this achievement. i've tried it so many different ways and my players never make diving headers. :(

go inter milan and do a low croos and youll get it i got it on my second cross with inter milan

right 5 games into my second season, and i always try and get this achievement, i tried all the solutions about that worked for you guys, then i realised my trusty companion youtube might be able to help me....

i got into the position what this guy did and make sure that there ARE a few players in the box and do not direct the LS in any direction and just double tap X, make sure that crossing assistance is on semi.

and i think that because there is players around your striker he will be forced to dive to the ball.


I hope this helps you guys, it took me ages.
