I'm pretty sure the answer to that is no

Since (most) video games made today are on DVDs and (most) games are region coded.

Nope its not..

Speaking of region free, i heard that that all ps3 games are going to be region-free.. I dont know if thats true or not, but if so, thats probably the first thing I'd give Sony any points for.. lol..

some dumbass told me that all ps3 games will like put a code into your console to make it where you cant play that copy of the game on a different system (also cant play a different copy, like if yours messed up and you have to get a new one) and will make it to where you cant rent them, i highly doubt thats true because that would be a bad move on sony's part

I read somewhere that "Entitlements" are nothing like Achievements, they are in fact a small fee that someone has to pay for playing a game that isnt "signed" to them.. Some of the money goes to Sony, some to the publisher/developer, and some to the person that owns the game (entitlements, which can be cashed in for money)

I dunno about that, but I definitely wouldnt put it past Sony to do something stupid like that ;x
