Okay I am just wondering a few peoples opinions.
1) After the whole "Pressing the B button repeatedly mini game" would it annoy you more if you lost when you actually had a chance to win? Or would it annoy you more that you didn't have a chance to beat the other person and it was entirely based on luck?
2) If you do win. Do you think you will get screamed at more over Xbox live? With comments such as "Oh my god you noob" Or "you must be using a turbo controller you loser get a life!" ect.

My opinions.

Its not really luck based, who ever press's B the most in 2-3 seconds wins.

He's asking if it would be better to have it completely determined by luck like it is in gears 1, or have a chainsaw duel in gears 2 where you both have a chance to live.

The luck thing might annoy me more...

To be honest I never use the chainsaw anyway, so I will probably rarely get into chainsaw duels. If i do, I wouldn't care if I lost or whatever, there are far more shady shotty plays on me than anything else as it is.

Ohh, in that case, luck would annoy me way more. The B mashing thing is a great improvement.

I never understood complaining about the chainsaw. It is damn hard to kill someone with it. People just don't like it because they can't get lucky and survive a chainsaw attack, like they can a shotgun to the back. I would always sneak up on someone and shotgun them to the cheek to have it do no damage, so I began to switch to the saw to kill them. If you get behind them, you should be guaranteed a kill. Chainsaw allows that. If someone's coming straight at you with a chainsaw, shoot them. Kill them. Done. If you try to chainsaw back and complain that you don't win every time, you're an idiot. Only one person can win.

Why do I see a lot of Turbo Controllers coming into play with this system...

But have to agree with Blackjaw on his whole post :)

I think button mashing is better than luck.

If 2 people get into a chainsaw fight are they invincible until 1 of them wins?

Nope, someone can come up and just shotgun you or chainsaw you.

Both? Only one person lives, and one person dies. I think this is way better than whoever has the better connection. And it is WAY better than Halo 3, where you both die.

So if i got into a chainsaw fight with you. One of your teammates could come up behind me and save you?

Pretty much. Also, if you begin to chainsaw me, my teammate can kill you before then. It's like .5 seconds to save me before you start chainsawing.

What happens in the chainsaw duel if you both press B the same amount of times? Unlikely but a possible scenario. Every 1 in a 1000 or something.

Think it would be better if it had a little gauge at the bottom to show who is winning. edit: But as it is only 2-3 seconds long battle wouldn't really help much.

So teammated have a short chance in saving you from chainsaw fights. What about if i chainsaw you and you don't have a chainsaw? Can your teammate help you in the .01 second it takes or are you dead? I know that for curb stomps once you press the button the enemy is dead.

Your points in question are MOOT.

To #1. BOTH PLAYERS HAVE A CHANCE TO WIN. The reason they're moving to a chainsaw duel is to give two people revving a chainsaw to actually have a chance at winning rather than 1 person predominating over the other randomly as it is done right now. So again, this is a pointless thing to ask.

To #2. Who cares. You win, you win. You lose, you lose. If you actually care about people yelling at you over XBLive, something's wrong. Just mute the nerds and move on. Like Blackjaw said, chainsawing isn't an easy thing to do unless you're behind the person, in that case there will be no chainsaw battle. If you really have to worry about people that have the turbo/configurable controllers, just shoot them, stun them, kill them-- it's that easy...

Silly questions to ask, if you ask me...

FYI:
Definition of moot----
A moot case or a moot point is one not subject to a judicial determination because it involves an abstract question or a pretended controversy that has not yet actually arisen or has already passed. .

My teammate can help me in .01 second (Answer for both question). I heard somewhere in a video that Cliffy said that. I might be wrong, so don't take my full word for it.

i have a feeling i may be getting smashed in some of the duels cause i always like too bring my pointer finger all the way down too the B button, in starwars TFU it worked but i dont think it'll work in a 2-3 second battle haha but i'd much rather have it as a duel
