gears or cod first?????

thinking whether to get gears first or cod first. give your opinions and give suggestions for substitutes. already getting fallout so dont give that as a substitute lol

As far as I'm concerned, there are no substitutes. These are both "must have" games. If I had to choose only one though, I'd probably go with GOW2.

A poll isn't going to help a question like this. Just decide on which genre you prefer and which of the two previous games you enjoyed more.

Even if you liked both, there's going to be one you liked ever so slightly more. Just go with your personal choice?

the reason im using a poll is because i am totally in the middle and im just seeing what other people would think and so i will probably go with the majority. thanks for the votes so far

That depends. They're both totally different games. It was like asking, should I get Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4?

If you've played both Call of Duty 2, and Gears of War, then pick which one you liked the best and then stick with that game. I hated the Gears multiplayer, because all the people I met were a bunch of people who cursed way too much for their age, and made fun of so many people. While in CoD 2 I had my best experiences, and even still have most of my friends on live from those days.

I will almost certainly get both games but im more excited about Cod5 than i am about GOW2 although the single player in GOW was great i never got round to playing it on line. whereas i have clocked up over 150 hours on COD4 on line and cant wait for the COD5 beta to begin.

Lets Keep in mind their both completely different games.

I personally believe this is an extremely tough decision but i think i'll buy Gears 2 first seeing as the majority of my friends will be playing it and i can't wait to dig into the MP.

Gears 2 for me but World at War is a close runner up.

Gears will be better in my opinion. CoD5 will be just like all the other WWII games. But, I'll play them both still.

You're kidding? Have you played CoD3? Treyarch isn't exactly known for titles that blow you away! I guarantee you in the end, Gears will have a much more engaging story, sharper visuals and way more cool, bloody, sh!t. World at War the most played online, LOL! If you try and play CoD3 right now you're lucky if you can find a match quickly. It takes about 2 seconds to find a match in Gears. Your quote above might have to become my new signature!

I would go with Gears 2, Call of Duty is over rated in my opinion.
