short crosses

is anyone else having problems crossing. No matter how little I press x to cross it still fires right to the other side of the penalty box.

Cant figure out what I'm doing wrong!

Well tom it sounds like you have Cross Asisstance on simply go into controller config and put cross assistance to either manual or semi auto


Note: Semi Auto is what Fifa08 crossing system used to be set on

Right i will explain all of them!

Automatic : CPU picks the power and place of the cross
Semi-Auto : CPU picks place but player picks power
Manual : Player picks position and power of cross

Now even tho manual seems the best it is not it is very difficult to place your cross 8/10 your cross will go over the bar or be easily caught by the keeper
that is why i suggest you to pick Semi-Auto it is also what i use but all the other assists are Auto like pass shoot etc

BUT

Pass ,Though Ball and Shoot asisistance is different to Cross as with those 3 you can pick power and place

Also, you can do a middle cross by tapping x twice, and a ground level croos by tapping x three times. This might help you also.

Well i did my 'diving header' achievement with the crossing assistance set to 'manual'. Work great where and how much power u wanna do.
