Anyone want to help get Konami off their asses so next year they bother to do updates to PES and actually try to improve it rather then the odd thing?
Apparently this year they have no toe punting, everything is side footed. Why not both?
Less kits.
Copied Fifa's 'be a pro' with 'become a legend'
Basically all we actually have is the Uefa Cup and CL with official names and trophies.
Nice going Konami, great effort. Im a huge PES fan and have always been a fan of PES for its gameplay etc to Fifa's pretty players and kits lol. But now I think this year is it. Im giving Fifa a go.
Anyone fancy not buying PES for a year? See if they do something about it? I know no one thinks this will change anything etc but its just principle and my thoughts that basically, I give up on Konami for now.

I think your over reacting slightly, give it a go first. I think that it will be a great game, it always is due to the imense gameplay it has, which is far superior to fifa every year.
Its not a bad thing not changing whats not broken.

i am in two minds
firsty, i am a massive fan of PES and have been since ISS on the playstation.
i would say that last year was the first time konami let the fans down though
the lag was one thing but also the menus and music were awful.
i've always allowed such things slide cos the gameplay is so awesome but i just felt konami were takin advantage of our loyalty.
not having the licenses never really bothered me either - though i did used to play it on the pc so u could get option files with the correct kits etc, whereas u cant on the 360. given the money they must make, i find it hard to believe they cant afford to get fully licenced, and im sure they'd sell more games if they did.
i think what people want to see is effort from konami, some thought and that it is actually evolving.
i cant wait for it come out though, it'll still sh*t all over fifa :)

HAHAHA i completely agree, especially that last comment, PES always owns FIFA.
i admit though it wasnt the best last year, and the year before that i prefered the playstation 2 version, as it had a complete edit mode, so i was able to have a fully licensed game after all!!
aslong as they bring back the edit mode fully, allow me to make my own team, correct the player and team names, i will be happy.

I bought Fifa today and played the PES demo. Fifa will have PES this year.
I'm a big PES fan but this year Fifa will take it. The PES demo is terrible and nothing is different.

Fifa is nothing compared to PES, and the demo was way different than PES2008 :D I cant wait for this one, but everyone has their opinions

No. Winning eleven/japans PES had it 2 years ago before FIFA. They then put it on FIFA 08 & it caught on. Both games are quality and tbh i dont think Konami really need to change much its already a great game & always will be (:
