Damn. I wish Liverpool get killed by Chelsea in the semi's.
Ditto, I couldn't stand seeing Loserpool in another Champions League final; even though utd would beat them anyway and it would be saaaweeeeeeet :D Chelsea in the final would do me, I'd be confident off winning that.

Indeed, it'd be good to have Chelsea - United final, but i'm thinking it could be Chelsea - Barcelona due to our injuries atm :\

I bloody hate Boro!! They always do us at the Riverside, I had a horrible feeling about today and it came true :(

We also seem to do Man United over at the riverside, aswell as give you's a close game at Old Trafford..

Mine Boro don't do bad against alot of the top teams in the league, they just haven't got the consitency to get good results against average to poor teams

And i dunno how people can not cheer on an English club in the champions league final wherever your from, i hate man united but still cheer them on in european competitions..

Exactly how I feel about utd and Roma. We always beat them, but it's just boring now; I hope we don't draw them next season!

I beg to differ. I would never cheer another English team apart from Utd, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. If say Liverpool won the Champions League, it would mean more money, resulting in affording better players, plus better players actually wanting to join Liverpool. It's an evil process...

I feel the same way. We were written off after 45 mins in Istanbul but came back and won it.
And you may have heard this alot but...
We're the most successful club in English history. FACT.

The gap in class between the Premiership and Championship is getting substantially bigger. If Derby manage to get to the Premiership again then they'll be going straight back down.

I reckon all 3 teams that come up from the Championship this season will be going right back down.

That was the obvious outcome. I wasn't even bothered when we went 1-0 up because as of late there is no hope of us keeping a lead. Adebayor came to us and he was utterly shit. He becamse good for quite a while but know he can't score to save his life, even his goal today looked like it was with his hands.

Arsene Wenger really needs to stop trying to get really young players and trying to train them up. He needs to stop trying to be the hero who buys players like Fabregas and makes them great. What he needs to do is buy some world class players. He's been given enough money.

Problem is that your captain (Gallas) isn't a captain; he's an arrogant git with no leadership quality at all lol, i'd much rather see you guys have somebody like Toure, or even Fabregas as captain- they'd make better captains than Gallas anyday. Anyway, plenty of handball decisions, we got our payback with a penalty; 2-1 win i'd say is a good result, but we gotta keep going now if we're going to actually win it :)

In the reply, you'll have all those posts into one, and you just put your reply under each quote :) Hope that makes sense. By the way, Lehmann = absolute douchebag lol.

And in such bad fashion. What, 5, 6 yellow cards between them? I don't think it was officiated that well at all, but with the run they had, they needed a much better performance against Man U.

It was a good game though, and I just enjoy any Arsenal vs. Man U. matches that us Americans can see. Luckily that one was broadcast on Fox Soccer Channel, live.

Im an Arsenal fan and I have to totally agree with whats been said about our current situation. I love the fact we continue to try to play the best football, but there are some members of our squad who should just not be anywhere near the set up!! As for Gallas being captain, his antics at Birmingham should have had the alarm bells ringing about how unsuitable he is for the role! With Sundays game v Man Utd, I was surprised as to how well we played, but had little surprise in the way we surrendered out lead....as has been the story for a few months now!

We need a top quality centre half and goalscorer!! Might even need to change the set up a bit. I hear from the sounds of it Aleksandr Hleb will most likely to leaving in the summer, so maybe move van Persie wide left, and have two out and out goal-scorers up top - Adebayor + 1!!

Some English papers were suggesting David Villa (should be interesting when we play Aston Villa in league games), i'd say thats the sort of standard we're looking for.

Man U have been a joy to watch this season, and I have no doubts about them having the league in the bag, and can see the side clinching the champions league too :o!

Well said dude...
Im a Man Utd fan but dont hate Arsenal, they have been a good team for years but tend to never really quite make it..

Sinse Wenger took over they seem to OVER play and try to play pretty football all the time instead of just grinding out a result. which Man U know how to do, and do very well when they have too

Personaly i think wenger need to move on and arsenal need a new manager who can instill some fear and passion into the arsenal players..
I think they need some1 abit like Sam Allardyce

As for gallas.. he's a Chelski cast away, and arsenal only got him to soften to blow of losing Ashley Cole... and he's nowhere near captain material

Hmm i think you've got a great winger in Walcott, he just needs to play week-in week-out to develop to become a first team legend :p I'd say you buy a 25 yr old keeper, maybe viera from Villareal although i'm unsure of how old he is. As for center back, sell gallas, and buy a strong centerback- be the best move you guys make if you could get somebody similar to vidic strengthwise.

Fair enough, Arsenal may not win anything this season, but you know they will be pushing even harder next season and maybe with the Sale of Gallas, then they will win something....

Berbatov, umm intresting.

The Rumour is saying that Chelsea are not intrested, Liverpool haven't got the money to hand and Arsenal don't want him.

Chelsea's reason is they they are preparing a 30+ Million Bid for KaKa, as Milan have pre "agreed" a deal for the Rabbit, 22.5 Million and 200,000 aweek.

Berbatov would cost United about 25 - 30 is Million, but I can't see God buying him, now Villa, that would be intresting.

The question is will God have the money as I hear that he is going for two more players from Sporting Lisbon...........

No way in God's green earth would you be able to sign Villa. Firstly, I don't believe Wenger would be willing to splash the amount required to bring someone like that to Arsenal. SZecondly, he wouldn't want to go to Arsenal; United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Madrid would all seem more appealing offers.

I think you'd be screwed without Hleb next season, apart from Fabregas, I'd say Hlebs been your best player so far.

Gallas is a twat, your right, but not exactly a bad CB is he so I can't see you getting rid of him. Also with the captaincy, if you take it away from Gallas, he's one of those people who would have a hissy fit about it and ask for a transfer; so I can't see him being stripped of that either.
I'd say that Arsenal need to buy Frank Ribbery. Dida and a good center back ummm like I dunno and a good forward like Villa.
Ribbery would be a good buy, but I don't see why he'd want to leave Lyon. Dida is way past it now, far better 'keepers about.

Gigaledge my friend, Berbatov is a ledge. Absolute class player, got an amazing touch on him. I think we'll be picking up a striker in the summer, whether its him or not I don't know. Spurs will probably want a ridiculous price for him, plus I see him as being a bit moody and lazy sometimes. PLUS, we should have the new guy Manucho coming back from his loan from Panathinaikos, however you spell it.

And OMG! why on earth is Wes Brown still playing for Man Utd?!
he's too unconsistant and makes too many mistakes to be in a side as good as Man Utd's. Every now n then he has an amazing game but most of the time he's the week link.. Its a good jod Rio, Vidic and Evra are world class

Its not when he's crippled all the time and not on the pitch.

Plus, Brown is quality, he'll never let you down and give his all in every game. Still one of the best right backs in the league in my opinion.

PLUS, Carlos Tevez = God. I'm not happy with a draw, but it felt like a victory scoring in the 88th minute. We're 3 points ahead with a far superior goal difference. So even if we lose next week to chelsea, aslong as we beat West Ham at Old Trafford and Wigan away, the title's ours ;)

Yay! West Ham beat Derby, not much of a achievement though but it's still three points, Man United did well to get their goal in the 88th minute and Arsenal played well to win 2-0 at Reading. My prediction now is for Man United to win the prem 2nd Arsenal 3rd Chelsea then 18th Bolton 19th Birmingham 20th Derby. West Ham to finish 8th.

Bit of a set back but we can realistically still win it at the bridge we just need to beat them then the only way chelsea could win the league is by scoring 19 goals (at least) in the last 2 games :D

I hope Fulham stay up but I just can't see it happening. I want Bolton to go down because they have been a bit of a bogey team for arsenal (apart from this season) and Birmingham because of what they did to Eduardo

They wernt that bad... Man Utd had to play a VERY different game to what there used to..
They contained Barca very well and stopped them from scoring...which was the most important thing

Every1 knows when you play at home you gotta score bcos going away is nearly always harder to score

So i think Man Utd did a decent job.. unlucky with Ronny missing the Pen though. And not getting another pen that we deserved..

Plus any wigan fans on here to talk about Antonio valencia (i used to have a wigan season ticket but i support united :) ) Apparently he's linked with a move to one of the big 4 clubs in the prem, IMO he'll stay, if he moves he'll be bottom of the pond again so to speak. I'm willing to bet any money he'll stay :p

Also- relegation battles, it's between Reading, Bolton, and Birmingham- i think it could be any combination of 2 out of the 3 really.. Reading are really suffering up front, Bolton are finally getting stronger but far too late in the season, and Birmingham with the amount of points they take from bigger clubs- should they really be battling? well yes they should, poor form always seems to let them down.

What y'all think on the issues raised here?

Who do you actually support? The utd bashing is getting old now.

Where abouts are you from bax?

Giga, a mate of mine from work has a son who is the finance manager of UTD.. he got two options, free meal and bar at old trafford and watch it on the big screen, or go to moscow.. He choose Moscow..

He flys at 9 on the morning, watches the match at 9:45pm then flys back after, HE can't even get a hotel either lol

So you prefer a team thats only up in the top 3 of the premiership teams bcos they where bought out and given shed loads of money...? more than a team that earned there glory..?

Chelsea have no real club history.. they havent even won the champions league yet..
Least Man Utd and Liverpool have won it fair n square

If and when we win the title, we'll only be 1 away from equalling Liverpool's record, and I can't see Fergie leaving until he's smashed that record. Times are looking good :) I'll be so gutted if Chelsea win even 1 of our titles, let alone both of them!

Exactly, Man U do have a billionaire owner, who doesn't even bother with you's..

Where as Abramovich actually goes and watches most Chelsea games, I find it funny how Man United fans come out with the.. 'Chelsea are just trying to buy the title'.. Isn't that point? To make a decent team?, and if Abramovich is going to put the money in, The managers will buy good players..

It's just one thing for United fans and another for everyone else.. As if Man U got a huge transfer budget to the size of Chelsea's then everything would be fine and dandy, But since it's Chelsea it's all wrong.. Your just intimidated you've actually got a team that can compete with you for the title now...

as impulse said, our billionaire doesnt even understand football let alone bother with us :p I'd love to have the amount of attention ibramovic gives chelsea, but it's just not gonna happen unless we get a footballing business man really.

As for the weekend, super sunday! could still go either way, hope we can do wigan over though :) I quite like Wigan, they've done the business against the other top clubs this season, so i'd of said a draw would be great, but that'd stop united winning the title most probably; so i'd say a win for united ( with Wigan being safe) :)

Haha, not the first reason I've been called a glory hunter - but then again what utd fan hasen't? I live in Portsmouth if you're so keen to know. The reason for supporting utd is as follows: I started playing football at 4, gorwing up being a Goalkeeper. My hero, idol if you will back then was Peter Schmeichel, the great dane. Guy was awesome and someone I looked up to everyday. I started supporting utd, buying all the goalkeeper shirts with Schmeichel on the back. After he left, I had been supporting them for what, 9 years? During that time I had fell in love with the club. I'm not just going to start supporting someone else just because my favourite player left. And yes, I have been to Old Trafford; multiple times.

Giga - Seriously, who gives a shit about Wigan :p Aslong as we win the league I don't care what happens.

As for our owner.. im glad Glazer stays out of the spot light... he just owns the club and lets everyone just get on with there jobs.
To be honest i think Abramovich is just playing at owning a football club, it wouldnt suprize me if a couple of years down the line he just sells up and moves on to something else

True we(Man Utd) may not have as much money to throw about as chelsea but we dont need to pay silly money for players that dont even fit into the squad.
Chelsea got into that habbit of just buying big names like Real Madrid did.. and real madrid didnt win anything big with that mentality...
Ferguson has nearly always been smart in his perchases..
And apparently weve got around 40 million to spend at the end of the season. so were not skint like Arsenal is :p
to be honest i dont think we'll even need to spend all of that.. all we need is another top class striker and maybe a defender

I wish Wenger would go out and waste a load of money then Arsenal would end up like Leeds United :), but to be honest Wenger is far smart to for that to happen and he doesn't like to waste money.

In regards to Chelsea, OMFG how dum are they. United offered 8.25M + £50K aweek for Jose Bosingwa and Chelsea turn around and offer 16.5M + £80K aweek - LOL they doubled our offer just for the sake of it - now that is really clever.

Also, what makes me laugh is that Chelsea are trading at a £80 Million lose per season. So now the season has finished Chelsea are about £100 Million worse off, so if Chelsea fail to win something in the next year or two max, then their Billionaire owner will just leave and Chelsea will be known as a bunch nubs with no history :)

Yeah he is... He puts alot of effort in... he just looks average next to Giggs and Ronaldo..
and a couple of matches ago i saw in the player stats. And he covered more ground than anyother player.. i think it was something daft like.. he ran 13 miles

Plus we have Nani and Anderson that can play on the wings too.

I have to agree with another striker though... Will it be Berbatov?

Ah yeah I forgot about Nani. He's far from the finished product though. Just because Park puts alot of effort in doesn't mean he's good enough. I mean I love the guy but I can't see him splitting open Chelsea's defence in Moscow.

Gotta be Berbatov hasen't it, but you can't just drop Rooney or Tevez their immense, and I can't see Berbatov being happy with sitting on the bench. I'd love to see us sign Huntelaar from Ajax I think it is, he's only 23 and class already.

He's more of a passing player.. he passes around the deffence and gets into good attacking positions. good 1 - 2's and he's had alot of assists when ive watched him play... very underated in my opinion

Yeah the problem we have is that we need a good back-up striker...

Luis Fabiano (Seville) - £5 Million 33 Goals in 38 Games
Dani Alves (Seville) - £25 Million - Rated as the best attacking Right-Back in the world.

From what I understand our scouts have seen the pair play over 16 times.

Also their is a strong rumour that a team in Italy or Spain (No one is confirming the County) are ready to launch a £32 Million pound bid for Petr Cech if doesn't agree a new deal with Chelsea.

Liverpool also look set to offer £13 Million pound bid to get hold of Barry of Aston Villa.

I'd say spend 20 Mil on Huntelaar / Berbatov (one or the other really) although as Bax said Huntelaar would be a better addition. Personally i want us to sign a good Right back, and yeah as GM said , Fergies got his eye on a young right back from Lisbon, Bosingwa or something i think?

Douchebag, Bosingwa is just about to sign for Chelsea :p Plus, I really don't think we need a defender; we had the best defensive record in the league! PLUS, Cech for £32mil? HAHAHA. Oooooo ahhhhhhhhh van der sar is better ;)

Well if Chelski are after Bosingwa, i'd happily take Ferreira or Carvalho off their hands to play Right back for us :p yeah we got a good defensive record, but we don't yet have a permanent right back, I'd say Hargreaves would make a great right back but we'll have to wait and see how Fergie plays that system.
And Cech for 32 Mil ?!?! Gahhh absolute rubbish i'd never pay 32 mil for him, he got megged on the last day of the season for god sake :p As you said Baxtah OOH AH VAN DER SAR :) I think he'll last us another season, then Ben Foster will take over i hope!
Apparently Real Madrid are about to make a swoop for Ronaldo, IMO if we can make a trade with Barcelona - Ronaldo for Messi that'd be deal of the century. As much as i love Ronaldo and his goal scoring ability, i think Messi is by far the better player; I'll leave myself open to onsloughts of "Ronaldo is the best" and so on :p

You've just dropped down a few ranks on the cool ladder I'm afraid.

Ferrera or however you spell it is absolute shite, and if I ever see him in a utd shirt, I'll kill myself
Messi better than Ronaldo? what the hell... Messi is probably as good as ronnie dribbling, but he doesn't have the free-kicks, medals to prove it, plus he's a midget and sucks at heading whereas ronnie is an awesome header of the ball. It'd be the worst deal of the century, not the best.
We do have a permanent right back, gazza neville, just he was injured the WHOLE of the last season. Should be alright to play next season.

Im with you Bax..
1. Ferrera is shite! i'd rather Rooney play in deffence than Ferrera

2. Ronaldo is way better than Messi.. And i seriouly doubt Messi could handle it in the best/toughest league in the world.. He's too much of a light weight.

3. True.. but there is better out there

£32 Mill for Cech, yes a club in Spain or Italy will be silly enough to do so, I never said UN17ED.......

As for having Chelsea players in my UN17ED Team your having a laugh

Haha, so true, Roon is far better at defending than Ferrera; the mans a beast!

Better than Gary Neville though there is not I'm afraid.

Hmm, i think Messi is far more developed than Ronaldo, but that's just me really, i think if Ronaldo matured alot, he'd be a better player.

Ferreira is bad and good, but if we picked him up free at the end of his contract, better than nothing :)

As for Neville, i don't think he'll really recover from Injuries now, it'd be great to see him play like, but we need a permanent right back i'd say.

As for me going down on the cool list! i had no idea i was on such a list :p

lol, everybody who supports utd is on the cool list. How can Ronaldo mature any more than he already has by the way? When he first joined he was a 1 trick pony who didn't have an end product. He's turned into a goal machine who produces an end product literally every time. Matured enough for ya?

Don't get me wrong i think he's class, he just makes a meal out of most things really, and when things aren't going his way he tends to have a bit of a strop, for me no matter how good a player is, it's all about how they handle themselves as a professional- i think if he played for us another season or two he'd probably develop into a much better professional, don't you agree? :p

Who doesnt have a lil strop when things arnt going thier way?
Roy Keane used to ;)

Ronaldo's from a different part of europe to us..
Where there all more dramatic in everything they do.. that'll never change about him..
And he's not as bad as he used to be...
As long as he keeps playing like he did this season, i dont really care how mardy he is.

Messi in Premiership would be the same.. Hes not used the phyiscal side of football played in England

No doubt Messi is a fantastic player.. but i'd chose Ronaldo over him any day..

Hmm yeah i see your point, Keane learnt to control his anger really though, alot like rooney has- I guess ferguson works his magic quite well. But still, give it a season and Ronaldo will be a much more professional player i reckon

Yeah ferguson is a GENIUS!
He deffo knows how to get the best out of his players and get them working as a unit...

But i also agree with your Ronaldo statement..
I feel sorry for the premiership deffenders.. Bcos Ronaldo will no doubt get better :woop:

I actually love it when Ronaldo has his little strops on the pitch. It shows he cares! When you have someone with that ability who actually cares, you know you've got an absolute gem.

Very true...
Thats what made Keano, Schmiechel and Cantona winners.. Bcos they put there heart & souls in...
But i sometimes wish Ronaldo would ride the harder tackles sometimes like Rooney does...

PS. Bax..... where has your man utd sig gone? :(

I would like to say congratzz to Man United for winning the prem they played well after Arsenal were miles ahead earlier on in the season. My next season prediction is that Liverpool win the prem Man U second Tottenham 3rd and Arsenal 4th. West Ham will make it to UEFA and Stoke, Sunderland and West Brom will go down. I can hopefully see City winning at Wembly and staying up next season just.

So what are your guys' opinion on Grant's comment on the refree? I think that they were unfair, but there are some certain refs that award free kicks, penaltyies blantly because the team are a top 4 team.

I hate it when managers her punished for speaking what they truly feel. It's only their opinion, so why should they get fined for speaking what they believe?

Liverpool will be a better team when the fire Rafa Benitez. The only reason I said Chelsea to finish outside the top 4 is that on my FIFA 07 profile they finished 9th in the 08-09 season. The game speaks the truth. =]
