Anybody else finding life to be boring all the time without games? Nothing else is fun anymore...and I'm not sure if anything else was to begin with.

Well, when I was living down in AL for 6 months I had shit to do, and people to hang with. Now that i'm back in Vermont I pretty much just play games there isn't much to do. Just gotta get the girl up here with me then i'll have someone to hang with. :p

I can live without a 360, BUT it would be very very very very very very hard.
I would probably practice bboy (Breakdance) more often.

After you play 360 for awhile those "little" things that you used to do that give your excitement or fun don't happen because your gaming in your spare time, and once enough time passes you'll lose exciting times.
For example, being the teenager i am, i sometimes would rather sit on my lazy ass and play some RSV2 then go out to the gun range, workout, or even just go down to the freestyle bike park like i used too. (Just went there for the first time in 2 years). But i agree, video games seem to take the inner drive out of you, and thankfully i'm getting that back :).

I go to new places that are out of my element for fun. I'm far from a bar/club person, so every other weekend (or whenever other people are game) we'll head to shitty dive bars or clubs and just bask in the dumb.
I also enjoy performing at Open Mic Nights with my weird two person, one guitar band, Huge Ackman. I am also a writer, semi-professionally, although I wouldn't mind getting paid for it. I'm more of a story/screenplay kind of guy, less of an article kind of guy.
Video games are fun, but there are plenty other things that I love to do.

Start smoking crack, it'l do wonders. Of course I have fun without video games. It'd be one boring place if you just got entertainment out of video games.

I can't be bothered anymore, I'll go out if my mates ask, but I'm not too bothered about that.
There does exist a world outside of your XBox/Computer room...
Make some real friends, go watch a movie, go to a restaurant, hang out, etc... You can do so many fun tings without video games, you just have to find something to do that you will enjoy. I suffer from being extremely bored IF I'm at home and I have nothing to do and my xbox is just sitting there, but if I can leave and do something, then I try to, and I dont get bored....
Basically, take up a hobby.

i used to only play xbox or play xbox with friends, but in the last year or so i've started doing alot more stuff. For example i started sculpting (little figures) and have discovered that cutting down trees is super fun. Like, really really fun. ( i only cut down buckthorn, which is an invasive species). so in other words yes there is a ton of shit to too other than xbox. get a hobby, or start playing a sport or something.

I used to always want to play Xbox 360, but now that I have a girlfriend, I haven't touch in it at least 2 weeks.

I often find myself sitting at a bar with my buddies thinking that I'd rather be sitting on my couch playing video games... Sad, eh?

Well if I'm bored and it's raining, which it usually is in England, I skateboard, inline etc. Basically if it involves me nearly killing myself I'm up for it :p but if it's raining I come on the computer or on the Xbox :)

Actually, I find life boring with video games all the time.
I only get on to play Half-Life 2 at the moment.

I hadn't even touched my 360 for about a month before Star Wars: The Force Unleashed came out. So, no, I don't think life is boring without video games. There is plenty of other stuff to do.

Yea, hanging out with friends and doing other things aren't fun at all! Just kidding. I find myself addicted at times and giving up more important things, ie homework, to game but I find myself feeling guilty that I am somewhat wasting my life. Might just be me.

I find WORK boring without videogames. I used to work in a gameshop so was surrounded by videogames, which is the next best thing to playing them ;)
But now I work in IT, I sit at work and think, 'I could be at home playing games right now'.
I do also find that I have to play at least a little bit every day, if I go without it feels weird... if I miss XBox time, I'll have to have a bit of DS in bed or something... that's really quite strange isn't it?
Having said all that, I do do other things, like going to the pub with mates or doing a bit of retail therapy, but videogaming definitely takes up a massive part of my spare time - it always has and I imagine it always will! :woop:

well video games are very fun and time consuming. they take your mind of all the drama and stuff that goes on in life. When I stop playing them I still have my computer, friends, and family. that's all that really matters in the end.

I enjoy reading various historical texts, playing guitar and drinking wine and scotch.

I do do other things in life besides Xbox like Workout, chill with friends, and party on the weekends. But I'm not gonna lie since I really started getting into 360 I dont play basketball, football, or play guitar that much nemore. Im still doing decent in school and staying in shape, so I dont think theres a problem with that. Its just I rather play Xbox in my spare time now.
I don't watch TV, instead I play games. Is that bad?
In my opinion it isn't, but sometimes it's a bit harder to keep up with conversation when it turns to TV. :p
Some people think playing games instead of watching TV is silly, but I fail to see how. It keeps you more aware and alert than TV, requiring you to think more than you'd need to watching TV.
And it's not as if I do it 24/7, 'cause I do other stuff aswell...

Yeah but you don't get achievements for doing any of those things!

I would say that I have lots of fun outside of video games. Games are more of a hobby for me. I tend to put more time into playing guitar then video games.

I always thought gaming was a hobby.
For me gaming STILL is a hobby. Some people practice it like a sport.

This thread is just going to turn into who has more of a social life. It's going to go in circles sooner or later.
We all have friends, no matter how pathetic they are.
Plus, we all know Tussell has the biggest and bestest social life.
