Question About Ending (SPOILER WARNING) [Archive]

I beat the game tonight and I went to the boat with that guy, and it BLEW UP! And I "died"? It took me back to the Main Menu!! Good thing I saved just before. Is this normal? Should I have done something else first?

You did it all right. That's how it ends. Kind of perplexing actually...I am glad I saved before going to that mission, I didn't read this topic before that-didn't want to spoil anything for myself, I would of been pretty mad since Hail to the Chief (previous) mission was annoying the heck out of me (finally beat it on my third try) but also at least yours goes back to the main menu, mine just goes black and I have to restart the 360.

This probably only happens when you skip the story or credits (first time I skipped credits-black screen and second time story-black screen). No reason to try it a third time and let it sit through the credits to see if this happens as I'll only get the main screen anyways as you said. I was hoping you'd be able to continue playing after I saw the credits (like before).

I wish the game didn't end like that though but oh well. It was a great game though. I'm at 66% right now, going to finish up all the side missions now and give the hitman missions a try too.

Also, if no one noticed, they showed that Troy was an undercover cop.
