Easy.

9/10.

Why? Because this game does alot what current generation GTA NEVER did in terms of online play. You can break into houses and stores, play mini-games to crack the safe. And a whole host of things that are new to the sand-box series. Graphics are good (aside from disappearing).

With everything I've seen from Dead Rising and Saints Row, I cannot WAIT to see what GTA IV has up it's sleeves.

8/10

I got it the first day it came out and I love it. It's like gta with multiplayer and more customization. I think there are a few things they should've worked a little bit harder on though.

I give it a solid 8/10.

There are a couple reasons it's not higher. First of all, there are a number of glitches I've either heard about or seen first hand. First of all your car disappearing randomly making it look like you are floating in mid air. Heard that from Crash & a friend of K Dog's. Second, other cars disappearing randomly and I'm not talking down the street 50 feet, I'm talking a car 20 feet in front of me disappearing for no reason. I've also run into a couple places on the map where the frame rate takes a significant dip and while it only lasts maybe 2-5 seconds, it's enough to cause problems. And of course there are the major v-sync issues. If you noticed them in the demo they are going to punch you right in the face in the final game. Also it seems like it might be kind of short compared to a GTA. I played about 2 hours last night and am already 15% complete. I was hoping it would be a 50+ hour game to beat. I'm not sure if that 15% encompasses everything a la GTA or if it's just the storyline missions. If it's the latter, I'm less worried.

All that aside, it is GTA next-gen. Other than v-synce issues I haven't seen another graphical issue that sticks out enough to bother me. Sure there are jaggies but hell even Gears of War is going to have them (being that Unreal Engine 3 can't do AA yet) and it's certainly not enough to bother me. The missions are varied and fun, the character and car customization is deep (although I wish the latter was deeper, like what they are talking about for NFS: Carbon) and the side missions are fun as hell. Until GTA4 hits, this is probably going to be THE sandbox game on 360.

Be less worried. The % only takes into account the missions that involve rival gangs, not any of the activities, etc. Also, once you complete the story 100%, you still have all of Stilwater as your playground... robberies, highjackings, wanted levels, etc are all still there for you to play.

I give the game 9/10. Honestly, I had more fun last night playing Saint's Row than all of the GTA games I've played. (With the possible exception of the first two. Top-down ftw!)

Anyway, the ability to go anywhere in the city from the get-go with no artifical limitations is excellent. Something I deeply disliked about the 3D GTA games. Additionally, there are so many more little activities in this game and the world is so much more involving. From robbing liquor stores at night to initiating a hold-up if you walk in with your gun drawn during the day, to having to crack safes... excellent. Also, the mini-map/waypoint system is absolutely a lifesaver. There were many times in GTA that I spent more time looking at the map trying to plan a route. Here, just throw down a marker and you GPS-style route nav all the way.

They've made the game extremely enjoyable, extremely easy to play and I'm loving every minute of it so far. Oh, and the addition of food items to replenish your health is a welcome one. I find myself stopping at Freckle Bitch's as often as the gun shop. Don't leave for a mission without an order of Funbags! lol

This and Dead Rising together make me happier than ever to own a 360.

only way I feel anyone can rate any game is by beating it.

I gave it an 8. It improves on everything that was wrong with Grand Theft Auto. I really like the customization, and online play too. But don't get me wrong I don't think its better than GTA.

9/10, the real only reason is that you can't do a "free roam" type of play in mulitplayer.
