View Full Version : Who is starting Star Wars on the Hardest difficulty first?
08-06-2008, 12:28 PM
I am theee bigggggest fan of Star Wars that I know and I am definetly looking for a challenge the first day, and too support my Star Wars themed room and shelves and bed I must beat this game to its fullest extent, (I sound like a nerd but I am a metal head...) and I also wanted to know if anyone else is going to go for the full 1000 in the first week of owning this game. Post up if you are going for it too.
08-06-2008, 01:32 PM
i will be indeed trying it first on the hardest setting. but if its a lil too hard and takes the enjoyment away from the game and storyline first time round then i think i will drop down a level but i will be deffintly be starting on the hardest setting.

If the hardest difficulty can be selected right away, I'm gonna do it. I just hope this game ends up great. No online=they better have one hell of a single player story.
08-07-2008, 04:56 PM
im going to go the haredst first and will go for 1000 points [the HARDEST canot be selected first you need to beet it once to unlock it ] any one want a race to 1000 ?
08-07-2008, 07:15 PM
Fawkes I'm up for a race to 1000. Let me know if you want to do it.
08-08-2008, 04:28 AM
Im definatley going for the 1000...
08-08-2008, 09:28 AM
heh. Easy for me then replay again on the hardest
08-15-2008, 12:57 AM
:uzi:Im going to try unless it gets really close to my bootcamp ship date then i'll switch it to easy so i can see what happens because i wont be able to stand a cliffhanger while in bootcamp
08-15-2008, 12:59 AM
Considering you have to beat the game once to unlock the hardest difficulty...I doubt anyone will be doing this
08-15-2008, 02:45 AM
Normal for me. I'll have to let my kid play it too, so the 1000 will have to wait a little while.
08-15-2008, 11:40 AM
I don't know. I doubt that I will be starting on the hardest but it sure won't be the easiest either.:drunk
08-15-2008, 05:20 PM
Gotta unlock that difficulty first so I'll probably just play it on normal to get the hang of it.
whatever the highest available difficulty is when I put in the game, is where I start. To me beating games on the highest difficulty is the best and most worthwhile, as long as its reasonable *cough* Ninja Gaiden *cough*.
08-16-2008, 05:41 AM
No... i prefer enjoying a game before i hate it
08-18-2008, 02:06 AM
I think it'll be more like Ninja Gaiden 2 and Mass Effect. Only 2 difficulties will be available at the start, and you'll have to beat the game once to unlock the third, and then beat the third difficulty to unlock the fourth.
Either way, I'll probably be starting on the hardest difficulty available, but I won't be racing to 1000 because Rock Band 2 will also be out and I'll have to share the love. :)
08-18-2008, 03:01 PM
I'm going for the 1000 on this one. It looks great! I really hate games that lock difficulties and then add achievements for them though.
08-18-2008, 06:14 PM
I will be for the stackable achievements.
I bet it's easier than Ironman...... This game blows on Hard mode.
08-18-2008, 09:16 PM
I will start on hard, only if the game doesn't blow as much as the movie did...
08-19-2008, 08:50 PM
These achievements seem pretty easy. I see there's one collectable on, that's kind of annoying. Otherwise it's just another case of "Run around only using one move until you unlock the achievement, then move onto the next move".
08-21-2008, 12:40 AM
Since I can't start on Sith Master I figure I might as well play it on the easiest difficulty to start. (Get all the collectibles and what not). I'm definitely down for beating it on Sith Master second play through though.

08-22-2008, 03:30 AM
I'll be starting this one on hard for sure (took me a few tries but I beat the demo on hard)
good ol boy366
08-22-2008, 05:59 AM
if the achievements are stackable then ill definitely start it on the hardest possible setting, but if not ill just work my way up.
08-22-2008, 07:22 AM
i cannot wait for the force i have beaten the demo literally combined on ps360 20times on sith lord! or hard! it's amazing! i am a huge star wars fan september 16th unleash the force indeed!
08-22-2008, 02:51 PM
Start on normal, i beat the demo twice and pretty quickly and didint see the toughness in it. Ill try it again on sith
08-22-2008, 05:12 PM
I'll start on Sith Warrior difficulty, Complete it.
And then move up to Sith Lord or Sith Master.
08-22-2008, 05:18 PM
I'm definitely starting on the hardest difficulty. I've already beaten the demo twice on it, so I shouldn't have too much trouble in the real game.
08-22-2008, 08:53 PM
the only difference i noticed between second and third difficulty is that you take more damage and enemys have more health.
surely a harder difficulty will be enemys wanting to kill you?
08-22-2008, 08:59 PM
I will play on the easiest first time, to get used to the controls and everything, get all achievements. I also want that first feeling that I am dominant over everything, you know that God-Like feeling. Then I'll do it on the hardest.
08-23-2008, 05:44 AM
I agree with the above about the dominating feeling
I think I'll be playing on normal, Sith Warrior ( or w/e it was called) then on hardest. A third time on easypeasy to collect all shit :)
cant wait for the game, I LOVE the demo <3
08-23-2008, 10:51 AM
After trying the demo I have reconsidered; I'm gonna start on normal difficulty, because I wasn't able to get past the first hangar on Sith Lord :D. I want the first playthrough to be funny and entertaining, not frustraiting.
08-23-2008, 09:03 PM
I don't usually like playing the hardest difficulty first unless I know it's not uber insane like Ninja Gaiden.
I really like to enjoy my games the first time around and getting too frustrated sometimes can deter from that enjoyment....
Plus.... if I wait to play the hardest I can get more longevity out of the game.
Additionally... the demo was pretty hard and it was just the first part of the game.... so I would imagine that bey the end of the game Sith Lord will be mighty difficult.
08-24-2008, 09:15 AM
I'll play on the hardest available difficulty when the game comes out. I found normal (sith warrior) to be fairly easy in the demo. hard (was good balance of challenge) - you just have to watch you health.
08-26-2008, 01:31 AM
I am going to start on Sith Warrior, After playing the demo I think that should give plenty to be able to do the harder combos without killing the guys doing too much damage to us.
08-26-2008, 09:01 AM
Well i think the hardest is locked untill you beat the game at least once.
If its like that i'll start at the highest possible one to challenge myself and for lotsa fun
08-30-2008, 01:01 AM
I think ill play it on Sith Lord first. I know I will want to play the game more than once and sith lord is a fairly good challange for me
08-31-2008, 02:09 PM
im defiantly going for the hardest difficulty as then it will be a challenge, all previous star wars games iv enever had the guts to start hard so now im doing a change. ill try to race to 1000 with people but there are couple games coming out then what im getting lol so that may interfere with it :(
08-31-2008, 05:40 PM
if i ever get this (hopefully at chrismas) sith lord, appertice TOO easy sith warrior easy and sith lord challenge (wound't die even 1 time in demo but i drop 3 time in row whoops :/ )
09-01-2008, 08:20 AM
I will start on one of the middle settings
09-05-2008, 11:38 PM
I'm gonna play on the second easiest, for the storyline. Then jump to the hardest to collect the achievements.
09-08-2008, 05:04 AM
I'll probably play it on normal just for the storyline and get the easy achievements out of the way. I plan to get the difficulty ones last after I have a good understanding of where I'll need to go, etc.
09-08-2008, 05:07 AM
I need this game to last me till Fable 2 comes out, so I'll probably start on easy or normal because I don't want to get the achievements too fast.
09-09-2008, 05:23 PM
I'll def. be starting on Sith Lord. After pwnzoring the demo, I'm gonna be all about being a sith.
09-09-2008, 05:42 PM
I will be playing on the hardest difficulty.
09-09-2008, 05:45 PM
I'm not starting on the hardest, I'll probably start on the default difficulty, can't remeber the name. Then do the harder difficulties, so I know the levels well enough :p:p:p
09-09-2008, 05:56 PM
Ill start on Normal, learn the game, then jump to the hardest to get all the achievements. This game has to last me 'til Fable 2 so I'm in no rush.
09-09-2008, 07:03 PM
Ill start on Normal, learn the game, then jump to the hardest to get all the achievements.
same. I don't want to give the game too much credit for being hard just because i don't know how to use the controls and force powers. I know it won't be harder than NGII though, so i should be able to easily finish all the difficulties.
09-09-2008, 09:51 PM
I will be starting of on Apprentice playing through it nice and easy enjoying the story, then I'm going to play through it again on Apprentice to collect all the crystals and so on and get the 100 kills with Force Lightning etc.
I should have gained a better knowlodge of the levels from two easy playthroughs, enough for me to tackle the other difficulties :)
09-09-2008, 10:04 PM
getting the 100 kills etc achievements by playing the same difficulty over and over again is pointless. you should just get them as you play the harder difficulties instead of wasting your time.
09-09-2008, 10:09 PM
Nope, I will enjoy doing it, I have played the demo about 30 times now, the fact that it's pointless is not the point, allthough I do inderstand what your saying :)
09-09-2008, 10:27 PM
Im going to start it on the hardest difficulty avalible first because i like the feeling after completing a really faustrating level :drunk
Most surely starting on Sith Lord. I don't want to baby myself with the easier difficulties and then get frustrated when I move on to the harder difficulties. Easier difficulties takes too much away from challenge for me. I have always been that way with games, In my experience if I start out difficult I have less frustration because I don't have to transition between difficulties. Plus Sith Lord will prepare me for the last difficulty when it unlocks. :boxer
I played apprentice and warrior on the demo and they would just be a waste of my time, having a busy life as it is. Plus as mentioned before it is much more satisfying completing a game with much more challenge. :uzi:
P.S. Ninja Gaiden series was the only exception to my own rule, lol.
09-10-2008, 01:01 AM
Defenitely Sith Warrior 1st (for the storyline). Then jump to Sith Master, so that I know where to go, what to do, and a better understanding of the best combos/ things to upgrade. After Sith Master im gonna drop down to the lowest level to get any achievements that i haven't already gotten.
09-10-2008, 07:29 AM
Im guessing these will be stackable, and probably the harder difficulties arent accessable straight away. Im hoping as well that the "do ... on 200 enemies" cheevs are stackable as well, which would require multiple play throughs. Gonna take my time though, not fussed about getting 1000 in the first week. It'll come when it comes.
09-10-2008, 02:31 PM
They'll be stackable. nearly every game with a "kill 1000 enemies" achievement has em.
09-11-2008, 05:40 AM
Any game I play, I start at Hardest. There is no point in trying to fool yourself into thinking you will beat a short game a second time through in succession.
