Do both players get Achievements when playing Coop?

Does the 2nd player earn achievements as well?

Yes, me and my friend are playing this game together. I'm not sure about the chest achievements or the health achievement. As when continue the game on another day the second player loses all of his health upgrades.

well I just tried it and both players Did Not get the achievement. I started the game with my main profile, pressed start with the second controller, and after a mission the 2nd got the achievement for playing for the first time with a friend and my Main Did Not get anything. What am I doing wrong?
