The first time you play the game there will be a menu where you (47) are at what appears to be a church and all the people in the seats are your targets and as you rifle through the levels killing the targets, they disappear from the menu screen.

No i didn't but sounds pretty cool.

It's 47's funeral and the people in attendance are the targets in the game.

As you progress through each level, they disappear.
