Magruder on Insane question

Hello all, I only need the Insane difficulty complete achievement for Gun and I was just curious how long/how many times do you have to shoot the dynamite to beat magruder? I have done it for about 20 minutes and only got one of the pillars to fall. I know how to beat him I just wonder how long it takes. It is quite frustrating.

where is the wright place to stand so i hit the dynamite early. i have been standing all the way back so not to get shot by his little punks.

It took me about 100 seconds max. I used the secret to get to the second part of fighting Magruder, then just shot the dynamite.

I was very close to him...to the left of him if you are facing him. Hid behind a rock, poked out, shot the dynamite, back to hiding.
