My sentiments exactly, the OS looks identical...I wonder if they security will be much better, leave a monkey with a PSP for 10mins and it'll hack it in someway

Thats and awefull menu. And the only customization announced so far is just a background? How do they expect to compete with Microsoft if all they have what they knocked off from the 360 and a customizable background. Seems to me like it's just a bulkier version of the PSP a few graphic upgrades. If Sony is going to spend tons of money on creating the PS3 at least add some inovation. The 360 has full screen tabs for each catigory.


Sony's PS3 has 1 background.
Microsoft lets users have multiple backgrounds rakes in about $1.75 for each theme someone downloads.

Why the hell does it still make that little "dink" sound when scrolling through the menu. That was my main complaint with the psp menu and thought that was the last thing they would think about copying across.

The dashboard is 10 times better than that menu and it will be a bitch to use on a daily basis.

Seems fine to me. Simple, easy to use/navigate, can be customized and most importantly it's quick (that is the worst thing about 360's menus, they take too long to come up).

What a piece of shit. I have a PSP and I HATE the menu interface, there is nothing user friendly about it.

If this 'preview' is indicative of Sonys innovations it is a sorry statement of their future.

It should be called PS 180 instead!

i like my psp interface, however to include it in the ps3 is just simply stupid.
