Ads on x360a

I know we can't complain too much about the ads on the site, but I sure wish that the Harley Davidson and the Circuit City ads didn't get in the way all the time. I do my share of ad clicking to support the site, but I hate it when they just block my clicker when I'm trying to do something. Or am I the only one getting these?

What do you guys think?

This has been discussed many times. The site needs it so they can support their servers. No ads, no servers, no site. Invest in Mozilla and pop up and ad blocker.

I know the site needs ads to support their servers. That's why I give them the occasional click. I don't mind ads, it's business as usual. But for some reason, those two in particular aren't being caught by my popup blocker on firefox, and it's a pretty reliable add-on.

It's like donating, without giving them my money, that's the way I see it.

Well i feel the same way, the ad's take away from the sites originality. I do understand why they do them and i feel it's great the site is bringing in income.

The harley davidson one is the most annoying one of them all, but it's a small price to pay for such a great site. Just do what i do, refresh the page right away.

And Kiwi, It's not really a pop up, i have firefox with pop up blocker and it doesn't change a thing then using safari on my other computer.

thats weird i must have a great add blocker cause i never have seen one ad on this site...lol...and clicking is good for the site because they know how many people come to their site from the add and if enough people dont come they will drop them as an advertiser and they will have to find someone else to help support them

These ads annoy me as well. I'm perfectly fine with advertisements, but the ones that actually interfere with my ability to browse the site shouldn't be used.

all i have on as a pop-up blocker is IE's pop-up blocker and i have not seen a single one of these ads...

For some reason I occasionally get redirected to a site where they have polls or other random things. There's an IP address type thing in the URL bar when it happens too.

One of the sites I got was "Which Pop Tastes Better" and it was between Coke and Pepsi. Anyone else getting stuff like this?

Surprisingly today was the first time full re-directed me to another site. Same thing as you said.

I love the ad that says "Would you vote for Obama, Yes or No? Vote now and get a free t-shit" saying vote for Obama. So If I vote no, I would get a t-shirt saying vote for Obama?....
Also the one were the Wiimote smacks you in the face 50 times. Really Really Annoying. I'm fine with ads, but do they really all have to have flash pop ups? so pop up blockers can't block them?

Dont worry, theyre being looked into. I didnt realise how annoying they were till I came to the States. Ive seen the Harley one about 20 times and just saw the Wii one a minute ago. We will look into getting these taken off the site :)

I'm not opposed to donating to the site or anything, I did send you guys five bucks, but I would subscribe in a heart-beat if I thought subscribing was actually worth it. Get more perks for subscribers and you can have my ten or fifteen bucks a month.
