So I was looking up Samurai Warriors on eBay and I came across this auction:

Link Removed.

Isn't that in some way against MS terms of service. Obviously it HAS to be game saving + account recovery + who knows what else. Not to mention he's making money of off it...

Note: This auction in no way violates any of Ebays policies as I am selling my time not gamerscore or achievements. Gamerscore and Achievements are still property of Microsoft.

This auction is for 1 hour of my time.

In that 1 hour I will play ONE game on your Gamertag of your choosing from the list Below:

(((List of games they listed but I removed it for space)))

Note: For Sega Superstar Tennis 3, if you have played the game before then do not buy it as the glitch wont work.

(IF you want more than one game done, purchase that many, i.e. you wan 5 games for your tag click quantity 4, then message me the games you want and if you want a $10 game then purchase 2 hours $15 3hours $20 4 Hours)

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
You can contact me through Ebay message, Aim at burner69996,
Yahoo at xbox_hq_6999 or MSN at burner6999@hotmail.com.

If you buy the auction you will need to send me the following information so I am able to play the game you choose with your gamertag:

Gamertag:

Windows Live ID:

Password:

I should be to play the game of your choice for 1 hour within 24 hours of purchase. I will contact you and we will work out a time that is good for you so you are not without your gamertag for very long.

Disclaimer: This auction is for my TIME.

Specifically, 1 hour of my TIME.

In that hour I will play the game.

However, you are paying for my TIME and not the gamerpoints you will receive as a result of me playing the game for 1 hour.

Gamerpoints are property of Microsoft.

People have been doing this for a while, a long time actually. :p

Leave it to MS to let this go unnoticed.

I was unaware of this also. Did a search on ebay and boom! there were tons of them on there. Forza, GH3, lots! I had no idea they were selling them, what fags! They need to see the ban hammer!

This is lame, he does mention the fact that you're going to receive gamerpoints and achievements for money......... I'm under the impression that is against the ToS.

I like achievements, but you would have to be on a whole new addiction/stupidity level to actually pay for them.

The thought of these people actually making money out of this is sickening, but if the market is there, which it must be because of all the ebay listings, people are gonna utilise it. It is a highly immoral concept of course to us legit gamers, but I guess some people would call it good business.... (NOT me though)

What is one hour of gameplay going to do? waste of money and chance of a suspension/ban.

It's amazing what lengths people go to to get achievements.

Like Sanction said it has been going on for a long time now, profiles, achievements, gamesaves, etc.

It may not be against ebays policy, but it is against MS Code of Conduct policy. You aren't suppose be trading your account or info. Regardless, you would have to be a fool to give that info out.

I do, but that's because i'm a journalist :P

I'm more saddened by the fact that people care enough to use these kinds of 'services'.

I wonder how many accounts get stolen in this process. Also gives the other person access to your billing information and ability to charge MS points to your account.

The funniest ones are people who offer avatar and other 06 sports games, in that case its the buyer who is stupid.

The irony is that it's pretty much boosting.

The irony is that it's pretty much boosting.

Why is there always one guy that wants to turn everything into a boosting arguement? If you can't understand the difference by now, you never will, so let it go and move on.

Well, if we're going to delve into ironies, i sometimes think of this like you're getting your friend or something to play the game for you, except that you're paying them to do it.

When i was younger, I let a friend of mine borrow Mario 64, and he boosted my game for me, even though i didn't ask him too.

Viroblade3

I'm a bit biased here cause I do sell virtual items so i see where the ebay seller is coming from. just like MMORPGS that people pay for, some people will pay for gamerscore also obviously. its basically RMT but with GS instead of gold/items.

I'm all for getting 100% on games, but if you're not good enough to get it yourself, that's your problem. For example, I'm a decent enough Guitar Hero/Rock Band guitar player on Medium, but I can't do Hard/Expert - so I've accepted that I'm not likely to get the relevant achievements until I get better. My sister can do Hard/Expert, and I could ask her to go through some songs for me, but then that wouldn't be fair as I hadn't actually done them.

My vote is for the buyer, for without which, would be no seller...

yeah i have seen tons of these things as i buy many games off of ebay cause they are cheap and i have had many offers from people online while playing gh that if i give them ms points they will recover my account for me and beat the hard and expert levels for me and to me that is BS....its one thing to be playing co-op on a game and unlock something whether on purpose or on accident but it is another to not only have someone else unlock an achievement for you but to pay them....WTF

The irony is that it's pretty much boosting.

how? you boost with another person and you spend your own time to boost. with these auctions you don't game with anyone and you don't take your own time to achieve points.

*whooooosh* Can you at least try to keep up? :woop:

I don't support Gamesavers or cheaters, but hey, if people are lame enough to buy it, then kudos to him for making some extra money for no effort at all.
