Where are you getting your 48 hour passes now?

The tropicana contest is over and I've been looking around the forum for other places to do just this but nothing is coming up. I'm curious if there currently is even a way to get these codes now?

umm all i know of is games (eg. GTA) but bungie does not let you play ranked games with 48 hour passes.

I buy a year of LIVE so I dont need any 48 hour codes. Most just come with games I buy.

I bought some off eBay when my Gold subscription expired in April. I had about 3 I "found" in some Blockbuster display cases. ;) A couple of XBL friends sent me some codes too.

The only restrictions I've found with these trial codes is that you aren't able to attach pics with messages. You can't do video chats. You can't play ranked matches on Halo 3. You aren't able to use the Xbox.com site to message friends either. Codes also have to be redeemed thru the dashboard.

Now the Tropicana promotion was great while it lasted. I'm sure some of my eBay purchases must have come by that method. I myself never stockpiled any from there. I only got one. I did read some blog comments about them being sued and the site being shut down, etc. Total BS! The promotion thing ended just like it was supposed to in February.

I still have a bunch from some games like Forza 2, PGR4, Halo 3 and a Gears one, if you believe that. lol.

I don't have a use for them either because I have a year of XBL. :P

Yeah I got a ton of codes from Tropicana, and a few more here and there from random pack in's from games, but I don't have any intentions of really buying a subscription for a dummy account, that's why I bring it up. It just may come to the point where I have to get a bulk buy on ebay when the time comes but hopefully another contest will pop up offering codes.

lol finding Xbox live cards at Blockbuster. I do that too. ^_^

on eBay 2 day codes usually go for around $2.50 each, so it's very pricey :\

Ha, Bax, that answer seems logical enough. I still have some from GTAIV and Forza 2 which I have never opened.

Haha, I "find" codes in Blockbuster too! I especially like "finding" the 1 month's inside Games for Windows games.

I have a hook up at "Gamestop", she "finds" 48 hour passes all the time. Don't know where she "finds" them, but its cool.:woop:

not sure about the passes. but i can tell you where MS finds eight bucks plus tax every month: it's called my credit card, and i'm proud of this fact.

Yeah, that's why I pay yearly because it save me cash.

8 bucks x 12 months is 96 bucks.
50 bucks x 1 year is 50 bucks.

It was in GTA IV. I opened it to look at the manual and them -wtf?- there was a 48Hour trial card inside lol.

Got them in Halo 3,Viva pinata and some other ones... i never need them i just pay monthly i think with the credit card :p

I have to ask, what the hell ? Do only NTSC-U games have 48h and month passes? Since no games ive ever bought have them.
