get to third wave of terrax and die

I just cant seem to beat terrax for some reason. I get to the third puzzle and die cuz of all his minions!!! any help would be appreciated!

Yes the third puzzle can be frustrating because of all the enemies and the fact that the flying axe can keep rotating the crystals.

Here are my tips:
-Upgrade your teammate's recovery time and defense so the entire party doesn't get wiped (Just reply It's Clobbering Time stage with the Thing to collect as many fantastic four symbols you need from the surrounding pots)
-Upgrade the Thing as much as possible and use his ground-pounding move to rotate the crystals and clear some of the enemies if they get annoying
-Memorize how to solve the third puzzle so you can set it up as soon as possible
-If you're down to one person, run around the edges of the arena and avoid the flying axe until your teamates recover
