GTA 4 multiplayer lag?

I live in Australia and I simply cannot play multiplayer properly because of lag. I would walk at someone shooting them and then bang them on the head and suddenly I get killed by that same person who is now 5 metres away. Then that person dies about 4 seconds later saying I killed him???

I was just wondering if there are any other Australians (or other countries for that matter) who have this problem?

Well i live in New Zealand even further away from the rest of the world and it may take awhile for people to die sometimes but i never seem to lag quite as bad as what you said and it doesnt really take the fun out of it. Also im usually doing either races or the co-op ones so lag doesnt really affect me all that much

happens with me occasinally but not all the time like 1/10 matches, i live in the UK and my internet connection to the laptop and 360 is like 98% so i cant see it being me lol, i think personally its the other peoples connections

gta races and races are the most annoying though, cars flying everywhere and people flying off bridges only be back in front of me in 2 seconds, its annoying especially trying to get AWP and 20 race wins

and in hanmans noose sometimes my guy wont get in the chopper and annoys the other players lol
