I am not sure what all reseting the cache does but I have heard people say reseting the cache messed things up in oblivion and two worlds for them, i don't know if it is true or if they are just being loud mouths.

If you clear the cache, it deletes all the patches/updates you downloaded on your system. Not sure about in Oblivion or Two Worlds, but I clear my cache a lot because of synthing offline in Kingdom Under Fire & I've never had it screw up any game for me.

I don't know about Two Worlds but it definitely won't do anything to Oblivion, other than not being able to play if you had started the game with all patches installed.

it "shouldn't" do anything because the cache overwrites information stored in it i.e. having to redownload an update because you played a couple games since you last played the updated game.

I'm 99% sure it doesn't effect Oblivion in any way. Atleast not in my expierences. Two Worlds, I don't know for sure.

Clearing the cache only removes any patches or updates your console has recieved. It doesn't mess with your game data in any way whatsoever.
