Yknow, the thing that lets you use wireless periphals on your pc. I was wondering if there was any way to use my Wireless Controller on the PC without buying this thing?

The only other way you would be able to connect a controller to your PC is if you buy a wired controller which probably costs around the same as the reciever, so it's your choice.

Thanks The only way of playing with your wireless controller is to buy the wireless receiver... I've bought it and it works perfectly! If you have a wired controller and don't want to spend money you can use that.

I, too, hoped the play and charge would work. But i don't think the wireless adaptor is all that expensive. If I had a real desire to play any shooters on my PC then I'd buy it.

If I had a real desire to play any shooters on my PC then I'd buy it.The play and charge kit only sends power down the cable - the pad still communicates wirelessly with the console. So you need either one of these (http://www.play.com/Games/PC/4-/3299826/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Crossfire-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-for-Windows/Product.html) or a wired controller I'm afraid, though you should still be able to charge up your wireless controller via any USB port on your PC at the same time.
