I was hoping it would be. I just watched the trailer. Is it restricted to the point of being linear?

When I played it for the regular Xbox I was able to go anywhere in the game and extort all of the businesses off the bat. There wasn't a jump button or anything so you couldn't get on top of cars and things, but maybe they changed that part. But if you want to earn the ranks and get to Don of NYC then you do need to do the missions and stuff.

This game isn't better than GTA. The nostalgia, setting, characters, plot go a long ways towards making this a great game, but based on its own merits, I'd say its on the same level as Saints Row.

That is, a great take on a game type, but not as good as the original.
