Okay, I definitely like the way he has thought it all out, but i'd like to add my 2cents for this.
I'd like them to change the theme system ( my suggestion goes together with this design of the dashboard in platform nation).
First, themes should be limited to the blade-thingy ( excuse my ignorance ) that opens by pressing the Guide button, and then you could have different wallpapers.
I wouldn't mind if wallpapers cost something, but for customizability they should let you use Vision camera pictures and other custom pictures. One way to get custom pictures there ( lets say i like Halo, but they haven't got any wallpapers that i'd like, but i have one on my PC ) would be through xbox.com. Log in, upload your picture, and then you can either pay a small sum for it ( up to 80 MSP ) or have it for free. Another option would be directly from a MediaCenter enabled PC.

That's definitely a slick interface. I wish they'd implement something with a similar layout.

Wow just amazing how he was able to redo the dashboard and make it more of your own. He has some great ideas and MS needs to take note of this.

Yeah, some really good ideas here that would make using the marketplace a lot easier, not too sure about the layout but some of the suggestions should def be implemented

I don't mind the current layout, but I do like some of his suggestions. Less ads would be cool, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. However, quick access to XLBA titles should be implemented ... it's a pain to get to a specific one right now. And yeah, there is a lot of wasted space just to make it look "pretty". Function over form!

that is a great design. i dont mind the old one but a new design would be good and if it's more user friendly then i would gladly have this instead of the old one. if they were to update the dashboard they could have some sort of option to switch between dashboard layouts similar to the way you can switch themes.

Erm i like all types of music when im in the mood...least though would have to be heval metal. Im talking where you cant understand what there saying and there is no skill in the instruments being played. I have tried sparring and training to some and i just seem to like very specific tracks and not the genre.
Although i would like to ban the type of music people play out loud... rap but random guys spitting shite to an overused beat.

He's got some great ideas. The dashboard does almost nothing more than the Wii's and people give it credit way too much. HOME is what an interactive dashboard should look like.

Wrong topic? :p
I really do think the dashboard needs to be reworked. This guy has some great ideas, I hope the next update might implement a few solutions to make navigating easier.

However, this is microsoft we're talking about. When was the last time they did something that was asked of them?

Love what this guy has thought up. If MS have any brains, they should either implement his ideas, hire him, or both.

I think we all know Microsoft would never do anything like this. But Wait for E3 in a couple of weeks everyone!
I think they have tricks up their sleeves for us....

I'd be happy with his version. I'm happy with the current version. I think it'd be great if they left previous versions on (functions permitting) or updated them to have new features to give you choices. or let you skin it, like winamp.
