Are you trying to say that you bought a 1600 MS Points Card, and when you tried to redeem it it said it was already in use? If so, the only thing that I can think of that happened is someone randomly guessed the code and redeemed it. You could try calling support but I doubt they would help you.
You should call Support and get them to help you out. :)
Maybe, someone used a code generator and used your code.

The only way is to call up M$ regarding such an issue.
Please guys, stop bashing him. We are well aware of what happened. Leave it to us to sort out the mess. Thank you.

Whoa that sucks, did you buy it online by any chance?
Yeah like said above.
Oh and dont delete my posts.
Mods will delete your posts if you carry on posting spam... you can't just say "Yeah, like said above".

Try not sticking ur nose in where it's not needed, m'k?
I posted a question asking what the question was, as it wasn't clear. And it was deleted. I do not appreciate that.
Keep up that attitude and you won't be with us any longer.

I would take it back to the store you bought it from. If it was Wal-Mart or Target they shouldn't give you a problem at all. Even Gamestop should help you out.

yeahh, thats exactly what happened. I got one from gamestop, and it says code has already been redeemned, if i call ms support, do you think they will give me a new code?
EDIT: I called Gamestop, and the guy told me, there is no way that happened, and he just said call ms

I think it's very possible someone stole your code. I always wondered why people stealing the codes wasn't a problem. There's people out there who crack the OEM serial codes for every piece of software that gets made. People have even cracked the code to create credit card numbers. I met a master of it in Nassau County jail.

Just because someone can guess the code doesn't mean it's active or usable. We have MS point cards here in my Radio Shack. If someone came in and stole all of them, I wouldn't give a shit. They're not worth anything until they're activated with our VeriFone machine. The cards won't work.

Yeah, I used to work at EB. We had the same thing. It's just like a gift card at any store, the numbers don't work until the card is activated through verifone.
Maybe the clerk has all of the numbers written down and once he activated your card he used the points himself. :dunno:

I don't think stores accept returns on items like these, especially when the code is already scratched.
But if you called 1-800 MS i'm sure they would just give you the shoulder and put you on hold 20+ times.
Not sure if the code was scratched off before hand but make sure too look at the codes before purchasing them as i just barely caught myself 2 months ago in the check out line. People tend to scratch the code off and right it down, thieves
EDIT: Theres your answer to not call 1-800 Xbox, email sounds better and more reliable.

NO!!!
DO NOT CALL MICROSOFT! THEY WONT HELP YOU!! THEY WILL TURN YOU AWAY AND CAST YOU OFF AS A LIAR!!!!
This stuff does happen. When it does, it has been said around the community of xbox live, to EMAIL the support team!!!! the email is along the lines of support@xbox.com. THAT IS NOT THE EXACT EMAIL, IT IS A GUESS. SEARCH xbox.com For the EXACT address.
When you do, they will send you a brand new code, free of charge.
Thank you, and I REALLY Hope that does the trick!

tend to agree with jordan there. the cards are notorious POS's, sorry to say, and it's said with the love of a true MS convert. but the cards are really bad. recently, gifted a Gold subscription to a friend who just bought a 360 and it showed that 8051XXXX error (can't retrieve info and so on). then, after my new console came back from service with a one month Gold trial, we tried that on his machine...same error code.
he called support and they asked him to email them photos of the cards...come on, give me a break, how long do you suppose that would take to process?
anway, i don't have a solution other than go to Gamestop and ask them for another card. calling MS won't help...didn't try email tho.

I had a similar problem with a 2100 Microsoft Points card recently. I bought it from Amazon.co.uk and when it arrived it stated that the code was 'INVALID' when I tried to enter it. I tried it a few more times with no luck so I gave M$ a call. The girl on the other end was very helpful once we broke down the language barrier. As mentioned above I also had to send photographic proof - I was not overly happy doing this so I spammed them with about 10 hi res pictures :) - card, code, box, invoice and so on. Anyway about 2 days later I got a phone call from M$ telling me to check my e-mail account and sure enough they had e-mailed me not 1 but 2 2100 ms point codes. I should mention at this point that Amazon had basically told me to go F**K myself. So call MS and work it out with them and don't bother with Gamestop. Incidently the email address given to me by the girl at the call centre was Xboxsup1@microsoft.com.
Good Luck
