Question about upgrades and skill drops

Lets say I played through the game on Casual and got all the upgrades for all the weapons, am I able to take those upgrades with me to Normal and Hard difficulties?

Also, can I get one skill drop, kill myself and respawn to another skill drop to get all five, or do I have to play each mission five times to get one each time?

So long as you choose the "Select Mission" option, and don't start a new game, you will keep your weapon upgrades throughout the difficulty levels. And for the drop points, you can do the method that you said, but make sure that after you find them all that you complete an objective so that the campaign saves. This is to make sure that the game doesn't forget that you've found all the ones for that level.
