Achievements are very challenging/time consuming

And since DBZ is my favorite tv show of all time and i love it so much, i will do whatever it takes to get the 1000.

I got DBZ opening day and played from 5pm ET to 4 15am ET (11+hours nonstop) yes very addicting.

I bought it first thing on opening day, played it for 10 hours, beat the story mode, played survival, all sorts

I've loved DBZ for years, I'll hit 1K if it kills me =]

So far I'm at roughly 600

I need one more drama piece, I need to beat each survival to 100 wins, and I need to beat Z mode/beat Z mode with all Z ranks

Survival and a few select fights on Z will be difficult..

so when you get 100wins on survival does that give an achievement also? and any idea what the 3 100g achievements are? I think each one is for beating each saga on z

Survivor Default - beat 100 opponents - 100g
Survivor Custom - beat 100 opponents - 100g
Z Master (or something) - All Z ranking on Z difficulty

Beating the game on Z gets you 40 points

dang z one i probly wont end up geting but survivals eventualy cause i got to number 66 and android 18 had a pms attack and did some crazy shit and i died lol currently doing custom survival

It gets hard at fights 60+

It gets impossible fights 90+

use Captain Ginyu, then on the hard parts just lose until your health is getting low then change bodies lol.

Lol its so funny though because i used Cpt. Ginyu online and i let my opponent beat me down than i body changed with almost no health left to like SSJ Vegeta. The dude i was playing was so pissed off.

I am going to try the Ginyu idea soon lol. But for the time trials i used Broly and its easy until the end against Freiza. I like to use Vegeta as well.

Still... last time I checked the leaderbords, I saw that people have gotten to 100 using Broly and Vegita. So you can try with those first if you want to save the 'stupid' characters for later :)

I'm gonna try Ginyu =]

The computers at fight 90+ are pretty much untouchable...if I spam heavy smashes till I get to them, then body change at the last second, it might just work

Using Captain Ginyu and his body change technique seems like a really good idea. Will try this out too :)

I'm sure that this achievement is the only one I will have trouble getting, so fingers crossed that this method will work for everyone.

I really hope it'll work. Can't find out myself right now, but I'm afraid the AI will block or counter it when you're at 90+

im currently using this method and i breezed through the first 50 opponents on Survival Custom and got that achievement. Is there an ach. for beating 100 on custon ?

I just want to give a few tips when using ginyu. You can use a move called Holstein Shock ( <- + B ) This is the move where he puts his hand through his chest. It takes away 300 and gives you a full ki bar.

Do not lose alot of health because the body change can be blocked. When playing survival mode there are 3 health bars. Get to half way which would be half of the second health bar. Then start doing body change. If they are a blocking type opponent (kid gohon) then try to run away and make them chase you, when there chasing you just do the body change and it will work.

Beware though, when you body change it is possible that the computer can body change back. Be sure to just destroy your opponent right when the body change happens.

So far the first 50 were easy, ill keep going and give another update later on.


Update : i died at 53.
Reason: Android 16 body changed me back when i had like 5% health left so i couldnt even do the shock to get a full KI bar. I had to run around and avoid him. I got a full ki bar 3 different times but he blocked them all and then the time ran out.

So does that mean Ginyu is a no go? Or was it just plain bad luck?

not sure, i think it is better off to use Vegeta though.

I'll go on record and say Teen Gohan in my experience is the best character to use. His XXXXX attack is easy to pursuit follow-up (RT) and can be spammed 1-50. I only went up to 50 cause I got bored and didn't know there was an achv. for 100. Not to mention if things get too bad you can use the almighty SSJ2. I didn't loose more than 2 full health bars 1-50 using this strategy, but I can't guarantee that it'll work when things get harder.

No it gets harder believe me. Just get up past 50 and you'll see. Plus it makes sense.

Got to 77 and faced Captain Ginyu... I was winning until... He switched bodies with me!!! GEEZ. Never doing this again unless theres an almost for-sure tactic...

The AI is a bastard. Just when you think you are winning it destroys you. Only on the higher levels. Early on you'll wonder if it's set on easy mode.

Survival mode 100 are the only hard achievements for me.. i played through budokai tenkaichi 2 on hard mode and z ranked every battle on both the psp games without TOO much shouting and cursing =| as for the survival mode that was the first thing i tried after the tutorial, got to 65 with goku when brolly pulled off 2 off those aura spark rush attacks back to back i was PISSED cuz i had just wasted and hour, and i had to stay up till 8 in the morning to get that far...
