First off I am a huge DBZ fan, yet I have only played one of the Budokai. This latest game looks amazing and I have played the demo but Im not sure if I should get this one or the last budokai. I mean,

#1 when using goku and stuff on Burst Limit do you get to go super saiyan by pressing a button or what?

#2 If there is not a real difference between this and the latest Budokai should I go find one with the Buu Saga included with cell and frieza, etc.?

#3 How fun do you actually think this game is?

Help with any of this is very much appreciated, and thank you for your time.

#1 Once your ki gauge is full, you just have to rpess RB to transform, its very easy to do.
#2 If you really like DBZ,you may go for this one.Drama pieces are pretty cool to unlock.
#3The game is awesome wenn you play for through the story mode, online is poor (no tournament,no championship),trial mode sucks, especially survivor. There are a lot of drawbacks, drama pieces breaking your attack, saving CPU all the time in Z mode, camera switch between left and right so you go right in the attack instead of avoiding. If you play for fun, take it;if you play for achievements, you ll go nuts.

In threads like this, negative points are talked about more than positive points

You said you're a massive DBZ fan, that alone should mean you should be playing it right now (I got it on launch, so there :p)

Its a solid fighting game, great fun, great for the fans, and the positives outweigh the negatives

Just played it again, Don't buy it

The worst DBZ game to date, the cheapest in terms of gameplay too, you simply can't win on single player

V Easy, Easy, Normal, Hard - too easy

V Hard - dull

Z - Impossible, computers are made to be untouchable

Are you a little schizophrenic Rayne? :P

In my opinion i can't comment much on how it compares to others, as this is my first dbz fighting game. But I enjoyed it, Z chronicles is missing a lot of backstory and there is plenty of things that have been skipped.

As a fighting game, ignoring its subject, It's the first fighting game ive really enjoyed since Soul Calibur 3.

I'd say, maybe don't buy it at full price....maybe trade something in you're not playing for it. (I traded in Guitar Hero II for it, and i got 23£ for a game i actually only paid 27£ for new :D )

After playing much DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 1/2/3 on PS2 I can say that this game isnt a next gen game, but much older than this three... the graphic is awesome... the gameplay movements and fluidity also... but some others aspects of the gameplay are really not good, just like some other little things... so, if you are a real fan and you've played the Tenkaichi saga, you must buy this game at half prize, and don't think this will be better than the PS2/Wii one, because is worst... otherwise, if you're a fan and you don't have played tenkaichi on PS2/Wii so you can buy it at full price!

Yea, hype is bad...builds up too many expectations, and 90% of the time they are never met.

Still, I like it....and afterall it's all about personal opinion, this post will never get an definitive answer lol.

Well, I like it too. Only other DBZ games I've played were on PSP (and some old one on a Super Nintendo, I think).

As a DBZ fan I think you will enjoy this.

At times you may get very frustrated, but when you beat that annoying match afterwards, you'll feel so much better.

id say yes if ura fan, i mean alot of the story is missing but its a blast if a little short. My advice is not to pay full price i paid like £7 for this so to me its value for money an il be keeping it. Yes survival is hard but itl just be more of an achievement when i finally beat it.

it isnt the original saga and the drama pieces do your head in.
There are bits in it that are missed because vegeta doesnt kill nappa. Graphics rule tho

Its a budokai game (finally xD)

If you like DBZ I'd say you should get it, and it'll be way worth it...

But if you're not really into it then I wouldn't bother, wait for a price drop =] there's a lot of story missing (You wouldn't even know that Goku dies in the cell saga, and some fights happen for no real reason...but its still fun)

Okay then I'll probaly get this one then after the points you guys have made, thank you very much but I have one final question and the answer to that could make me never buy this game ever, that question is.

Does this game contain the scene "IT'S OVER 9000000!!!!!"? If not I won't even touch this game again.

the last budokai was tenkaichi3 personally i hated those tenkaichi games this is like the old budokai games with better graphics and gameplay and the scenes are missing alot but if your a dbz fan you will love it.

#3 How fun do you actually think this game is?I think it is very fun to be honest besides people useing vegeta too much

#4 yes it does have that scene

it dissapointed me, to say the least. Not the full sagas, they couldnt get the 3 they used right, cut scenes every 2 minutes and a crappy combat system. Its soo easy!! ITS NOT LIKE BUDOKAI IN THE SLIGHTEST. budokai rocks, this sucks!

no way..naruto is wayy too short..i was in my holz and compelted it in a day easy lol you should get draognball if your an achivement junkie. otherwise the story will only last u a couple of hours. Gameplay wise i find it improves alot from budokai. drama pieces adds another perspective to gaming as u aim to collect all pieces but they do get anoying. dialogue could also be improved as the darn it...darn you...and whats can get anoyin lol

i think that if you have to ask whether or not you should buy this game then you're better off renting it that way if you feel its not all its cracked up to be ,you can send it back and in the process saving you on a good amount of money. me on the other hand i rented this from gamefly and i gotta say this is the most fun gaming experince i've had for a fighting game in a long, long time. this game just blows my mind. its holding me down until soulcailber IV comes out.
