A Question About Unlocking Characters?

I notice that fights have some conditions to unlock the drama pieces, and since im picking up this game today. I was wondering if there was specific conditions to unlock the characters? or do they unlock as you battle them like normal?

They unlock as you fight them, Bardock and Broly coming just at the end of the game. You also unlock the transformations as you fight/play them.

i got them from just playing through the story very easy doesnt take long
even bardock and brolly easy to get

the ultimate moves unlock the same as the characters you get them as you prgress through the game

Just complete the game and you will unlock every characters,every transformation and ultimate attacks in your first playthrough;this will also unlock a bench of secret achievements.
