Just bought the strategy guide yesterday. Confirmed playable characters are:

Classic Hulk
Joe Fixit
Gray Hulk
The Maestro
The Professor
Ironclad (U-Foe)
Green Scar (From Planet Hulk/World War Hulk)
Iron Man (In Hulkbuster Armor)
Abomination

That's pretty cool isn't it?

For some dumb reason to play as Iron Man, you have to a saved game of Iron Man. >:(

Just a marketing tool to get gamers to purchase both Iron Man and the Hulk Games.

kind of a smart move in my opinion. i knida feel bad for those that will go out there way to buy the iron man game just to be able to unlock that armor in the hulk game and get the achievment. me on the other hand i rented iron man so i'm good to go lol

I don't think there's an achievement for all costumes. There's one for Iron Man ('Shell-Head') but other than that I don't think there's any achievements for costumes.

And no, the Hulkbuster Armor is just for looks. You play just like regular Hulk.

I got Joe Fixit when I got the Iron Man costume , I thought you had to beat the game to get Joe fixit ?

Originally, I think that was the plan. I heard it's in the strategy guide. But, it seems he's unlocked from the start.

I guess I'll rent IM. An achievements an achievement... Heck I'm probably going to wast 20 bucks for the Vision camera for the achievements in the RSV games.

Now, it's not JUST looks... you also get an alternate voice. ;) But yeah, no rocket-boots or guns.

Either way, The Maestro is way cooler. :p
